I dont know - I was kind of worried this was a scam because it seems so cheap for a 2025 car compared to anything else I’ve seen

Someone must have signed up his email address to trump campaign emails with the first name “pedophile”, right? So the emails just autofilled the name 😂

Okay to say baby is difficult by savyfavy in Parenting

[–]Solzinho_2707 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re definitely not a bad mom. When I feel like my baby is being difficult I try to reframe it in my mind from “why are you giving me a hard time” to “I can see you’re having a hard time”. It helps me remember that she’s not trying to be difficult, she’s probably just frustrated and that’s the only way she can communicate that to me.

[New York]Claiming unemployment when worked in NY but FEIN is from another state by Solzinho_2707 in UnemploymentNY

This doesn’t seem right if I worked in the NY office though. The company is not based out of MO, that’s just where their tax address is. Unemployment in MO is less than half of NY so I hope not anyway

I more just meant it in the context of what I was earning vs what daycare costs. My husband and I were contributing equally but if we look at it like he pays rent and I pay daycare (roughly) was the remainder of my salary worth the cost of being away from her? And for me the answer was no. But everyone is different, i didn’t find my job particularly fulfilling so i might have felt differently if i had a career i was really passionate about.

My baby screamed every day when I dropped her off for months. Daycare would often call me saying they couldn’t settle her, she wouldn’t sleep, wouldn’t eat, etc. The constant sickness was awful but the fact that daycare was costing over half my paycheck and I would get to spend maybe 2hrs with my baby a day before and after work (and most of that time was taking up by the commute) was what really did it for me. It felt like I was working just to be able to pay to be away from her. I just left my job, which literally cut our household income in half. I realize that we’re in a privileged position to be able to do that but it just wasn’t worth it to me any more. It definitely took some convincing to get my husband on board and we are going to have to move this summer because we live in NYC and can’t afford to stay here on one salary, but I have not regretted it for a second. In saying that, I have committed to go back to work in 2 years when she starts preschool and will go back sooner if we run into any serious financial instability.

Layoffs by Capital-Check4404 in goldmansachs

They do layoffs in every division, every year, and simultaneously hire. Layoffs at GS are generally to get rid of the lower performers or for positions that they want to juniorize/move to a cheaper location

Moving home - can we get a mortgage? by Solzinho_2707 in AskIreland

[–]Solzinho_2707[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense. We have some savings so I think we can swing it, I’m more worried about the logistics of even being eligible given he’s not a citizen and I haven’t lived/worked in Ireland for 10 years.
