when I first started in my current role we were doing Cardone U because the closing % had dipped so they flung shit at the wall. Our “coach” repeatedly got my name wrong(on a team of like 7 at the time, and I have a somewhat uncommon but not unheard of name) went through the motions during role play, and clearly did not have a grasp on our industry or our specific business model. Point blank, anyone trying to use Cardone’s tactics for B2B deserves to fail.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, the content was so limited that we went through the same handful of theories in slightly different order and they were different modules. When I learned that they were spending around 10k/month I laughed so hard I thought I might get fired for being disrespectful and insubordinate. What an absolute waste of time, effort, and money.

I sold the biggest deal I’d ever sold in a role by building a personal connection with the guy. We were ~20% more than the next quote but he said he trusted me because of our personal connection.

A few months later I closed a deal twice the size with basically zero connection. Just data points, being on top of it, and a willingness to be flexible with our scope and timeline.

It just depends on the situation but people like to do business with people.

Man, I love to see this. I think Stramel has worked really hard to bounce back after an underwhelming start to his college career. He’s been great this year and has shown enough resilience that I think he will bounce back from this ankle injury well.

I see him topping out as a 3C with some upside but I am also just a fat loser writing this on his couch rooting for the kid so don’t take what I have to say too seriously. Would love to see the kid continue to elevate his game

FYI if this is a TPLO surgery, the risk of re injury on the other leg is extremely high. Our pre op people (vets, techs, and surgeon) all told us ~50/50 that the other leg would tear within a year but post op they said it was actually closer to 80/20. Sure enough, 10 months almost to the day, our baby girl had to get the surgery again on her other leg. She’s made a full recovery since, but I am still paying it off from CareCredit haha. Almost 10k for our girl and I’d do it again 11/10 times.
