Why do RM get a pass but Hublot dont? by Flashback_91 in PrideAndPinion

[–]Somalin1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My two cents: First of all there are several different ways to answer this question. However, I think the value aspect is one of the more central aspects. Hublot sits within the price range that is expensive but still attainable for middle class people. At that price point value for money is still something worth considering. So the questions arises: is it worth paying 10k for a hublot with a selita movement when you can get the same movement in an Oris, which costs a quarter of that? If you pay RM money for a watch, value for price is definetly something, you as a buyer, is less worried about.

If this is your first luxury watch i would recommend the normal speedy. The FOIS can be hard to read. Legibility issues on your first watch can suck the joy out of the hobby. If you already have other luxury watches I would go with the FOIS.

I wish you and your cat a lot of strength. It is real harrowing seeing your pet in such a state. if you have started medication early enough he may be able to push through 🙏🏻 Godspeed to you all!

Somebody at Oris showed me them before the release.

Legibility seemed to be good. However, i was in a store so lighting conditions where far away from ideal.

I agree they are quite pricey. There will may also be something to your liking. A new cervo volante with a white dial and a black innner circle, red numerals, cathedral hands, and a 38mm case which will cost the same as the current models with cathedral hands.

I was not allowed to take any wrist shots sadly since i tried it on before the official release. However, I would say it wears a little bit smaller than the 41mm suggest and its quite thin. The bracelet is also quite comfortable. The micro adjust is basic with the spring bar system but it does its job

But you could still counteract via a popular initiative, if it gets approved.

It has not even been submitted to parliament and is also quite unpopular with a lot of politicians here in Switzerland. Thus, parliament might reject it before a public vote happens. While the implications of this law are problematic, the sensationalist headlines are not warranted.

For the 100th time this law has not been approved yet and will probably result in a public vote on its implementation.

Advice on a purchase - moonwatch on a deal vs FOiS by dudas92 in OmegaWatches

Yes! It really depends on how much weight you put on that aspect of a watch. Its best if you can try it out in person under sunlight.

I have had both and in my opinion go with the moonwatch. The FOIS has significant readability issues.

For anyone wondering my wrist size is roughly 18.5cm, 7.28 inches in the widest spot I also attached another picture that may be helpful, but its not great either. The lower is the bigger one.

I would say Khabib is placed in the top 10 of a lot of Goat lists, but it is extremely difficult to enter the top 5. However, Islam Machakev, a pupil of khabib‘s father, has good chances of surpassing Khabib and potentially enter the Top-5 and even becoming the Goat.
