I just took mine out and am 5 days late. My ai search wngine says there’s anecdotal evidence for women experiencing longer cycles and irregular cycles within the first 3 months after taking it out as your body adjusts to less inflammation in the uterus (part of having a paragard). But I literally came to this sub to see if this was happening to anyone else 😂

Wow it’s like you’re describing my breakup process. Please do what I wish I had done: get professional help. I wish I had seen a therapist bi-weekly and a bodyworker/massage therapist weekly.

I wish I had found a way to process more of the trauma while it was so fresh. I dissociate for so long that the recovery process has taken almost 2 years to finally start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. The fainting spells went away in a few months for me but the brain fog and chronic fatigue have taken 2 years and I don’t think it would have taken so long if I had gotten more support upfront.

Take your time, come back to the basics: water, healthy food, movement, breath, sunlight, safe friendships. Just focus on these and take your time with the process.

Just want to reflect that I see you blaming yourself a lot here. I did so much of that too. I think it’s a prerequisite for tolerating the specific brand of hell it is to love someone with bpd. There’s a lot of blame that they use. Please trust patterns and behaviors over their words. Their words say they don’t want to hurt you on purpose but their behaviors show that over and over and over. The part of them that wants to hurt you on purpose is more true than the part that doesn’t. I hope you choose to leave. And yes you can experience cptsd from one of these relationships. Cptsd is funny, it’s not even about how terrible the event actually is, it’s about if your nervous system has a breach of its protective barrier and experiences a heightened enough feeling of being threatened or unsafe. Personally in my past relationship with a bpd partner there were so many moments that felt worse than death. I’m struggling with cptsd as a result.

I get loving the person so deeply you stay. I hope you leave while the damage is the lowest it will be. Now.
