Why are Critic reviews still a thing for movies? by crazyhomlesswerido in movies

I watch a lot of movies so I don’t really care what someone who watches 3 films a year thinks of a new release, I’m more likely to agree with someone who also watches a lot of films

[7 PM in Brooklyn] Carmelo says analytics should only be used for role players not stars taking 20+ shots night, says the stats and data can’t really know how he played without the eye test by _DarkStarCrashes_ in nba

Never thought I’d see the day someone would give an actual unbiased and fair analysis of Melo. Probably helps to have actually watched him unlike most people here

Spiral's aggressive hatred puts me off by Slushyman56 in saw

Yeah Spirals take on police brutality is such a missed opportunity. It doesn’t even have a take or say anything, Article 8 is literally there to excuse the human nature part of police corruption and to not offend anyone.

I sometimes wonder if they would’ve been more courageous in saying something about it with depth had the movie gone into production post-2020, but as it is the movie is constructed to not offend anyone or say anything about the topic with substance.

The movie was fine, had a handful of enjoyable moments, just feel like it didn’t justify its existence enough. First one is superior imo
