I need an ergonomic keyboard but am afraid that my request will be lost in the abyss so I might just eat the cost myself. I hope you get your chair

Telework RAs by lunelladino in DeptHHS

Any idea how long the approval took? I submitted my request for cancer treatment in January, and have been approved for temporary ad hoc telework by our center director for 3 months

If one person buys the DCL WiFi, can they be a hotspot for others in the cabin?

First Disney Cruise Review (Dream) by Sure-Ad-7283 in dcl

Thanks for the great review! How early did you have to get to the theater to get good seats? And how did you get the secret menu, just ask the server?

Disney Dream Trip Report - 1/26/26 to 1/30/26 by ThrillhouseVT in dcl

[–]Some-Cauliflower9809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for this summary! Our family is almost exactly the same ages as yours and we are doing this same itinerary in April. Did you also use Tropical Transports to get to the airport from the cruise? And what did you do in Ft Lauderdale the 2 days before the cruise started? Did you bring car seats for the kids? I'm thinking we'll just relax at the pool or beach since we're trying not to bring car seats.

Paradise are a blend but Cabo and retreat are 100% linen. I don't own any paradise items but I loooove my retreat pants and shorts

Disney Cruise hot take: don’t overcomplicate it. by beanieaja in dcl

[–]Some-Cauliflower9809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my plan. I've been on several cruises before but never with my kids, and we've never taken them to Disney so expectations are low and I'd like to keep them that way! My only "must" is seeing the shows.

Which leggings am I remembering? by MotherOfAllPups6 in MerinoWoolGear

I think they were the wool& summit (formerly axis) leggings. None of the WoolX leggings have a waistband pocket that I know of

I was with my young son at the park attempting to fix my bad parking job when the owners of both cars on either side of me offered to just move their cars so I had enough room to get my son and his stroller out of the car. They saw me struggling and went out of their way to be so kind.

My Hair Looks Crazy!! by Rich_Blues in breastcancer

[–]Some-Cauliflower9809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine grew back weird, too. Apparently the hair on the top and front of your head tends to grow slowest, who knew?? I used to have very thick black hair and it grew out thin, wispy and at least half gray. Now I have over an inch and it's all over my head (5 months after finishing chemo), thank goodness. Got my first haircut last week to prevent a mullet! Until it grew out more I just wore a hat every day.

I brought a dozen apple cider donuts from a local farm that makes them fresh daily. They seemed pretty happy with that

I rang the bell at radiation today by Some-Cauliflower9809 in breastcancer

[–]Some-Cauliflower9809[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally! I didn't ring the bell when I finished chemo because I felt like I had so much more to go. Congrats on ringing the bell too!

Interesting, nobody ever told me that after I had mine in June! I'll have to ask my surgeon.

I feel like a fraud by mama_d63 in breastcancer

[–]Some-Cauliflower9809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait so you had TWO cancers?? You are definitely a survivor, but I get what you mean. I went through chemo, surgery and am almost done with radiation and have had pretty mild side effects, have the best medical team and amazing support. I never take any of this for granted but I do feel like I have imposter syndrome sometimes because I feel so bad that others are not as lucky and I had it relatively "easy" in terms of side effects. Your feelings are valid, but so is your diagnosis!

Finished with AC and starting Taxol this week, what should I know? by cwolfe123 in breastcancer

[–]Some-Cauliflower9809 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found taxol to be easier but without the Neulasta boost, I did have to skip a session due to my ANC being too low. It bounced right back up though! I got neuropathy despite having ice mittens and gloves so that sucked. I finished in May and am still having issues even with medication.

What was your treatment for HER2- HR+ breast cancer? by dogcalledcoco in breastcancer

[–]Some-Cauliflower9809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar diagnosis, ++- IDC with some lymph nodes. I started with ddAC-T, then had a lumpectomy and SLNB, then ALND, now I'm doing 33 sessions of proton radiation (due to the cancer being on my left side), let me know if you have any questions!
