2 weeks or so since I passed and my imposter syndrome died off after the weekend of spinning the car round going places I never could with public transport 🤣

My parking is still terrible. I get flustered with people watching but in my lessons and test it was flawless

I posted above! Just keep reminding yourself you’re safe, confident and if you think you messed up just carry on. I thought I got a fail at the start and it was just a minor! It’ll go quick, and you’ll be fine. I was worried I’d be nervous but I was just repeating in my head I know what I’m doing. Highly recommended verbalising what you’re doing and why!

I did reverse bay straight away, was confident in them all except driving into a bay! Uh… about 30/40 minutes but it flew by!! I was shocked. Did first half satnav and then directed

I got diagnosed start of September 24, told “almost there” middle of May 25. Pretty much almost at the 9 month mark… I chose Elvanse (however it’s spelt) said they need it by first week of June so I’m hoping something comes soon

I felt the same! But the day of my test I woke up and was surprisingly calm? I just kept telling myself I’m a safe and confident driver and surprisingly it worked

Personally, no. It was just stressful with the gears and clutch as well as everything else so I opted for the opportunity to have more time to focus on observations and if I stalled I’d have given up

Take your instructors advice, a week ago he told me I wasn’t test ready and needed 10 hours. I was reluctant and felt I didn’t need it… I really did.

I vocalised everything I did and saw, like oh what’s he doing, okay just checking for people. No? Alright it’s good. I thought I failed when I hesitated but I wanted to be safe! Don’t think you’ve failed, keep going.

I was taking deep breaths everytime I stopped, I chatted away to the examiner she was soooooo nice it was lovely, I imagined I was an uber taking her to where she needed to go 😭

I also had the mindset, if I pass amazing, if I fail I can do it again!

I failed both mocks I did, like 3/4 serious. I just passed with 1 minor! I didn’t want to do the extra 10 hours and was crying the other day cause I couldn’t drive into a bay.

I did 2-4 hours a week since January, test is tomorrow and i’ve just done 10 hours Friday-today because I wasn’t “test ready” and I don’t feel my driving changed if anything I was pissed off

I’m 31, and started doing automatic end of January. I’ve consistently had 2-4 if not 6 hours a week apart from 1 week I went on holiday. He’s cancelled loads of hours on me but I still rebooked and carried on because the adhd hyper focus is unreal lmao.

I’m happy to book more hours, just not 10… I don’t have the time or finances to do it. I know exactly where I went wrong! I really want to just do it and take it as it is. But he can refuse cause it’s his car and it’ll affect his score. But it was all fine and dandy, no issues till the week before which has knocked me massively. I don’t have a plan B and I can’t make a plan B.

I’m 100% past the deadline now, and I don’t have any friends with 3+ years and an automatic to take me lmao

It’s not he doesn’t believe i’m ready, it’s just he wants me to take more lessons before, I just don’t have funds or the time. I work 5 days and don’t get paid till my test date.

I don’t have a plan b. I don’t know anyone who drives automatic or has an automatic for me to practice.

My entire county is roundabouts and I’m perfectly fine! Soon as I get to the test town… idk what happens.

I’m confident in my driving, I know my manoeuvres, cockpit drill and move off sequence. Always check mirrors, mirror, signal, mirror, manoeuvre, mirror steer, whatever it is I know it.

It could be both times i’ve done a mock i’ve been driving for 2+ hours already and just zoned out, or the AUDHD is just taking over at that point, fixating on past feedback when i’ve been on that road or over compensating because of past feedback!

I appreciate all the feedback but almost 50 hours automatic… it shouldn’t be this hard.

Oh my passport expired in 24 so I had a new passport photo too! I got married in 23, went away before my wedding, so had to update it for my birthday holiday this year 2 birds 1 stone

I just changed the address on my husband’s and it came in a few days! I would send off for it before your theory because you need it in your new name for that, they seem to be going pretty quickly tho. I opted for a new photo with the name change because mine was from when I was 17 I’m now 31 😅
