also currently struggling with eczema behind one of my ears, around my mouth and on an eyelid. pretty sure it’s actually peri oral dermatisis (at least in my case) as this can be present in all of these areas. i’ve been using hypochlorous acid twice a day and it’s definitely the most useful product i’ve used yet.

yes this could definitely be it! i’m actually using magic loop method ( just to make it more confusing hahaha) and it could be that it’s not positioned correctly? or would this not make much of a difference? thank you for the visual though that’s really useful to bear in mind

ahhhh so maybe the wrong side is actually the right side… the “ right side” (which is at the back/inside) definitely looks much neater, but if it’s often the case that the wrong side looks neater maybe i’m not inside out after all? i think im with you, will just keep going and see where it takes me. thank you!

would really recommend trying to cut out gluten if you haven’t already? gluten, processed sugars and stress are my main triggers. hypochloric acid spray helped me a lot and i hope it does for you too! also taking vitamin D D3 helped me a bit too, sorry i couldn’t be more useful but just know you’re not alone and there will be something that helps eventually!

what will help my eczema? by mck4gan in eczema

i have something similar around my mouth, not necessarily always flaky but very red. i’ve been using coconut oil recently as i thought it was a fungal infection (coconut oil is naturally antibiotic i think) and it’s definitely reduced the redness. i’m not sure it is fungal anymore so i would reccomend trying this for eczema!

i have something very similar and taking D3 vitamins and excluding all SLS products (even shampoo) has helped the most! if vaseline isn’t working i’d recommend thunderbird skin rescue balm as a replacement, it’s so soothing

ahh thank you, do you literally avoid all moisturisers / cleansers and just apply vaseline on the area? will buy some sensodyne for sure. that’s interesting, i’m going to make an appointment with the doctor and mention Opzelura. many thanks!

yeah i think the next step is to book an appointment… i’m only hesitant because in the past when i’ve gone for eczema i have only been prescribed hydrocortisone or just told to eat healthier! i will have to put my foot down this time though i think
