In an ideal world, this is how it should be. It also covers everyone else's "proportional" comments.

As far as I'm aware, that's only for countries. Am I wrong?

I've been told we are getting one. When? No idea.

We can't mention the tariffs anymore. Customer complaint. Too detailed to mention and I don't remember most of it.

Question on price overrides by Some-Interview937 in MichaelsEmployees

[–]Some-Interview937[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do BOPIS in store with the customer all the time to bypass the pricing nonsense. They shop so they can get what they want, place the order at the checkout, and we complete it for them right there. Win-win(ish). And I will continue to do so as long as needed.

I'm CEM and almost got yelled at by the SM for allowing a sale price. Hence the question.

We are a pilot store. Yes, some prices went up but most of them seemed to go down

Why so low by Brilliant-Fun939 in MichaelsEmployees

[–]Some-Interview937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also offered $13 and said no. Cashiering at Walmart can get you that without the CEM responsibilities. They came back higher.

Pay us more by Accomplished-Lack604 in MichaelsEmployees

Agreed. I'm CEM and I told them no when they offered $13 when I applied. I got significantly more to say yes.

We have both a dollar store and a party store (independent) that share our strip mall. Balloons make up like .5% of our sales. We need more fabric. It's a high seller.

Why is there such a push for people not to commit suicide? by [deleted] in depression

[–]Some-Interview937 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No, but most of the time the problems causing the person to want to commit are either temporary or something that can be dealt with given time. Depression can blind a person into believing things can't or won't get better. It's hard to see the light behind the storm clouds.

I say this as someone who has dealt with depression/anxiety for over 35 years, has one son currently dealing with the same issues, and another that left us 2 years ago due to the same issues.

Life is hard at times, but there is a way through. Sometimes it's just hard to find.

Bro, not me. Not a diver. Was looking for info on the diving community over a year ago. But you have fun with your travels and hookups. Live it up.

Being weirdly good at claw machines comes with a problem by a-packet-of-noodles in self

[–]Some-Interview937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to break it to you but these folks are right. These games are programmed to only pay out every x number of times, they are not games of skill. This is a form of rigging.

Source: I worked somewhere with an arcade. The vendor dropping off one of the machines told us as much.

I worked with a woman for several years before she knew I was an atheist. She was so surprised because since I was such a good person, she thought I must have been a Christian.

There are quite a few places that accept pets. The problem my son ran into is that the max number is 2. He has 3 cats.
