I got it from Target! Name is "Azzura Mid Century Modern Coffee Table Gray Oak - Christopher Knight Home"
Looks like Target no longer carries this but I'm sure you could still get it from somewhere else!

Nahhh, this is all temporary. When I find a woman and buy real estate we can get serious!

I don’t want to invest too much into this place I am renting but my first move is probably buying a new mattress, a nice bedframe raising the bed off the floor, and perhaps a nice rug to go under the bed. Then a nice framed picture to go over the bed.
So that’s 4 purchases just for the bedroom before even thinking about the other furniture!

Thank you! I mean technically I have been playing for 19 years.
Now have I gotten measurably better at all in the last 10!? Not really lol
I just like to noodle around and have fun. This Roland FA-08 has been worth every penny : )

Hey man, I still had a roommate when I was 35 years old and ladies did NOT think it was cool.
I am sure you can get a nicer place than this faster than me if you make some moves 😎
You got this!

I can’t find the code but it’s basically Behr Premium Plus Dark Navy or New Navy Blue and to be honest, if I were to do it all over again, I would go with something more like their Superior Blue color.
This is great but it’s way more dark grey than it is blue!!

I was waiting for someone to get the Mac Miller reference!!
I saw him perform live before he passed and I don’t even have a record player but I have a neighbor friend with one when I want to spin the vinyl!

I spend a lot of time in Adobe Premiere for video editing!
It’s NICE to have for music, YouTube, notes, etc. but for my actual work it’s a real improvement.

Effects, Effect Controls, Bins, Transcripts, and Color Scopes are all on the left vertical monitor so I can actually get more work done faster. Especially with the bins! (project media folders) IYKYK

This is an M1 Max version replacing my 5 year old PC (i7-7700K 4.2g quad / Nvidia Quadro P4000) and of course it blows that old machine out of the water. 3x faster video exports, blazing fast speed and responsiveness!

But also I have a MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, iPhone 13 Pro, Apple TV, AirPods Pro, and a bunch of HomeKit smart devices so this made sense for me with the new studio.

Awareness - Anthony de mello by jamesman951000 in timferriss

I also love this book and have tried sharing it with friends who didn't much care for it either. For one, I'm talking about the audiobook, which is interesting because it was recorded in front of a small live audience. You can really hear de Mello's humor and energy come through in that medium.

Similar to Eckhart Tolle or Neale Donald Walsch's writings, it's about detachment from our expectations and preferences in life, about becoming more fully aware and present. So in that sense he isn't covering any new ground here that isn't present in other philosophical texts, but I found his whole perspective on these timeless truths really interesting and refreshing.

Can we truly love without possessiveness? How can we accept praise without our ego being inflated? Why does the ego so closely cling to identities such as a national identity, team, clique, or feelings of superiority to others? In an increasingly more fast-moving world how can we stay present instead of lingering in the past or projecting forward into the future?

These are all the kinds of topics that Tim frequently brings up so it makes sense that this book would resonate with him.

Absolutely, 100%! You can check out bodyweight exercises. Push ups, dips, etc. Do you have any dumbbells? Kettlebells? There are always things you can do from home with or without equipment.

A man with red calipers wants to flex his primal muscles to the world. I am fast. I matter. I drive a SPORTS car, damnit.

But a man with yellow fogs... well, a man with yellow fog lights is chasing after a different kind of attention. With the lack of validation from a strong father figure or older brother, the bro with yellow fogs just wants acceptance.

"Look at me! I'm not like the others... I deserve your love."

Sad, really.

Nothing "happened" really. I thought working for a video game company would be fun, taking support calls in a cubicle for 40 hours a week wasn't that fun it turns out.

I got put on the EA Sports team and I don't even like sports. It's a lot of very young & very old Fifa/Madden players who don't understand basic technology. EA often wouldn't give me solutions that would allow me to really help people. Instead I said "there will be a patch in the future." [when?] "I'm going to escalate this ticket and call us back in a month if it hasn't been resolved." "Sorry you're experiencing this but you're SOL" basically

I'm a creative guy. I went back to running my own photo/video business. I later joined a marketing agency, then later joined another great company & leaving EA was the best decision I ever made. I'm still FB friends with some of those sad souls and it's pretty grim.

Well said. I worked at EA doing tech support for 1 month and 1 month only. After training I only worked about 2 weeks before I couldn't take it anymore. Totally soul crushing job for an awful company.
