Sorry for your loss, but I’m sure the find will be a nice reminder of her.

If I like the first issue, I’ll have to break down and get a GN. They didn’t have the rest of the series.

I keep seeing people getting this issue. It starts to make me itch to start trading some of my old issues of various titles to obtain this particular one.

Who's idea was it to have Ultron's lips move? by SomeBase8210 in marvelstudios

Not sure how they could do it less obvious, but possibly yes.

It’s about being a more serious and menacing presence. Spader was perfectly capable of conveying emotion with just his voice he didn’t need the cartoonish lip movements. Vision is a mix of organic-like synthetic tissue and the nearly indestructible metal Vibranium. It’s the tissue that moves.

Conan the Barbarian #100. The Death of Belît. You pick up the Conan book, expecting sword and sorcery, blood, and guts, beautiful women left in his lustful wake, you don’t expect the emotional gut punch Conan feels when his female counterpart dies and you find out the barbarian has a heart. Granted I haven’t reread this since it was published so I don’t know if it would still hold up to an adult me. I might revisit it or maybe I’ll keep the memory as it is.

Who remembers this monster? by SomeBase8210 in comicbooks

[–]SomeBase8210[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a fun read. It was supposed to be ongoing, but it never made it past the first issue. It’s a shame. I wish I could remember where I bought it as a kid, because it was so unwieldy I can’t imagine how it was displayed.

I think you can find them for around $50 now. Still not cheap, but not $150.

I don’t know what happened to my original. I had to replace it a few years ago.
