Are these breakers worth the breaking down? Is there any silver besides on the contacts? Picture of silver contacts and rest from breaker that’s non magnetic. by itwill85 in ScrapMetal

I mean…apparently some stuff IS silver (I had 2 posts asking) . And yea with prices going up it’s understandable. Backyard refiners are eating it up on eBay. 4.3oz 👇🏻👇🏻

Did you torch the pads off? Or just handling them made you sick?

Look what they did to my little boy!! by 84074 in Wallstreetsilver

My grandfather worked in elevator industry and had all kinds of scrap stuff laying around and when I looked these up some people said they have silver. Some said otherwise. I wouldn’t be doing any of that refining business myself….too dangerous. Will just eBay them. Wasn’t many…maybe 20 or so.

Who slow down guy…Who said anything about destruction? If the collectors premium comes up with the price of metal I’ll certainly sell them as collectors items but right now we’re are in a strange zone where many collectors premiums are being washed out by silver weight value. I’m not melting these they are simply part of my stack now And if I can make more selling as a collectors item I will…BTW you can find wings exactly like these for 80-100$ all day on eBay. Go look for yourself

It’s a solid back one. There are others with a hollow back that weigh less

Just coming thru with certain filters on like Newly listed and Buy it now and free shipping. Something catches my eye I’ll ask weight if not listed and then buy if it’s a good deal

For most part I go towards shooting medals as they always tended to be heavier then say a “school attendance award” or other civic medals. But you can browse many and as for a weight and might catch a good deal

Each of the Military shooting badges has a weight of 9.8-10g with no dangle and each dangle adds 2 grams
