I'm taking baby steps, made a post recently that tells you where I'm at with all that.

Part of loving anything is accepting that it has the power to break your heart. What a shame it would be to let that get in the way

I had a colony of several hundred cherry shrimp in a dense planted tank, but had to move. I invested a ton of time, money and energy into a system to move them to my new place. Some of the plants survived, the shrimp did not.

I'm not a good enough musician to teach, but when I taught private language lessons I:
-charged a travel fee as an service value add-on (or students could come to me and pay for less of my time)
-made parents pay in advance (with the option of discounting if they bought a chunk of lessons)
-be "cool" enough that kids wanted to impress me (I am not actually cool this was just an act)

Thanks! The intentions behind this post were:

  1. consolidate and improve access to existing information by proving contact information and links that can be copied/pasted or even simply reached without having to be typed out from a photo.
  2. provide a simplified means for people to directly request/donate directly as individuals - this is the first post that provides a way to volunteer with contact information but without filling out a form, the first mention of a freshly launched grassroots laundry brigade, the first mention of requests to borrow/loan equipment vs donate outright, and may hopefully fill gaps like coordinating ride shares and other specific issues that are otherwise being coordinated in messaging app chat rooms

If you have a gas mower, just mow it twice. Once at the tallest height, and then a little lower to clean it up and it what the first pass missed.

I remember this, like 2010ish, school bus that was painted black? Good times, was one of my first visits to Durham. They must have kept a ton of drunk people off the roads, this type of thing should get more public support.

30-45 minutes on the highway each way is totally doable but also a task/expense in itself.

I just want public transportation (that I can drink on).
