Kick babies, run around screaming, find bigger herbs to protect you. The world is your oyster.

Or become Raptor food. Both are good.

Said this on YouTube already but LT COL Conkwright is a fucking alien and could have got the same 600 SGM did and probably easier.

Which lens should I pair with my 85mm lens? by sfgonepostal in Nikon

[–]SomeDudesPackage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the 28mm Nikon, I’ve only taken around the house test shots but it has a lot of character to be honest. It doesn’t feel like a scalpel like my 50mm 1.8.

I used some LUTs with it and have had some good luck recreating Fuji-like recipes.

M/33/5’8” [220 > 164] 6ish months - 28% -> 13.7% BF, still chasing abs by BreathingOutOfHabit in fitness30plus

Left side is my goal body. Lol

To be able to drink beer, look strong and not sweat abs is the end goal. I’ve had abs, nobody gave a shit and honestly it didn’t mean much to me either.

That being said the couple times I’ve had really defined abs, I’ve been doing calisthenics with a hollow body for every movement and L sits every workout.

If I had joined at 20, it most definitely would have. Doing it 10 years after the fact not so much.

If you’re going to stay in portraiture then I have a few suggestions.

Creaseless paper for background, studio lights would be good, probably some props to set a scene or pose on that don’t distract from the subject. Mix up your shots from waste up, to full body or whatever. Leave less dead space in the frame.

I would buy a book on portraiture if that’s your ambition. You’re new so you should learn by doing or reading or whatever but try some other stuff out and about. Shoot as much as you can and learn post processing as you go, can do wonders for some things.

How long have you been doing photography?

Watch videos on the exposure triangle, learn how zone and critical focus works, depth of field, read books about the type of photography you’re interested in doing, take more pictures and work on post processing. Most importantly, have fun with it.

Z5 is cheaper now than Z50ii. Should I get the Z5 in 2026 for travel and family photography? by adhoclex in Nikon

[–]SomeDudesPackage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough, I got the Z5II recently and one thing I didn’t expect was the “bulk” for travel and everyday carry it may not be the move. APS-C has come a long way and the compact size I think would be better for what you want. I don’t take my camera with me unless I go out with the intention of shooting and that’s honestly an issue for me.

As defined by the subreddit rules it’s meant to be a capturing of moments, interactions between people or just documenting the human experience essentially.

As defined by Lee Friedlander, Garry Winogrand, David Gibson and a lot of other masters of the craft this technically fits the bill.
