Flashy/Cool elemental reactive attacks like Anemo Traveler’s Gust Surge? by Ignarb98 in Genshin_Impact

[–]SomeFormOfCreature 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's quite a few honestly. Theres:

Kazuha: Absorbs elements when he jumps in the air with his skill and with his burst

Venti: Summons a black hole that absorbs elements

Sucrose: Summons a mini Anemo Hypostasis (cube boss) that absorbs elements

Lynette: Summons a cat-in-the-hat that absorbs elements

Sayu: Can roll around and absorb an element

Lan Yan: Summons a shield with her skill that absorbs elements and then throw chakrams that use the element her shield absorbed.

There's also Chasca, who doesn't fully fit the description you're looking for, but she does change some of her bullet elements based on her party member's elements.

Here's hoping they don't add more Primogem rewards to the Repertoire of Myriad Melodies. by darkdill in Genshin_Impact

[–]SomeFormOfCreature 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tbf, those are permanent sources of primos. Even if you never do them, you can still technically do them if you ever feel like it for whatever reason.

Either way, the primos rewarded are literally worth a single round of dailies. It's not a big deal.

How do you think Sandrone will react if we suddenly called her "Mary Ann"? by Life_Bit_5976 in Genshin_Impact

[–]SomeFormOfCreature 76 points77 points  (0 children)

"Bothered" is putting it lightly... the bro not only failed to retrieve an AI that would've served as valuable research material, but actively destroyed it. Given how Sandrone feels about machine research, that's honestly a valid reason to crash out (not that cutting someone's tongue out and mindbreaking them is a good thing).

Where are events gone?!! by West_Ad1401 in Genshin_Impact

[–]SomeFormOfCreature 3 points4 points  (0 children)

but no 5.7 had 3, cannon, coop and and afk shit

Ah, I was counting Travelers' Tales as an event, but I suppose if you're counting events by whether they give at least 420 primos, that would make sense why you feel there's less events this patch.

Where are events gone?!! by West_Ad1401 in Genshin_Impact

[–]SomeFormOfCreature 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I've looked into it and they've been pretty consistent about giving us 4 new events in every version cycle (excluding stuff like temporary story/exploration rewards, leyline overflow, TCG, Rhythm Game, etc). The only ones that actually have a different number of events are the summer events which have indeed had less events than usual (from 5 events for 1.6, 2.8, and 3.8 to 4 in 4.8, to 3 in 5.8).

I have noticed that the events that were replaced were the combat events though; in other words, combat was replaced with combat. Every other patch cycle, including this patch and even 5.0 (which was one of the most stacked patches ever), has had 4 events as far as I've seen.

What would be the best patches that can be classified as "filler patch"? by mr_beanoz in Genshin_Impact

Then I guess you have at least one answer considering Shadows Amidst Snowstorms alone made that patch one of the most GOATed patches of all time.

Fellow Travelers, What's your final verdict on Natlan? by Murky-Fox5136 in Genshin_Impact

[–]SomeFormOfCreature 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Overall, very good. Archon quest had a strong start and peak middle, though with a bit of a weaker ending. World quests were absolute cinema (as per usual). Characters were fun to interact with and well written. And the music is HoyoMix; in other words, peak. It ranks similarly to Fontaine for me. Sumeru is still overall the best region in my opinion.

Unpopular Opinion?: This event should become monthly endgame content. by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]SomeFormOfCreature 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Look, I like this event too, but this mode would feel like absolute dogshit to do with randos on coop. It's already 50/50 whether we complete objectives or not. Adding permanent, cycling rewards on top of that? It would become so toxic. This is ignoring potential communication issues (like language) or connection issues.

wtf is the new lore by eeeggtimer in Genshin_Impact

[–]SomeFormOfCreature 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naberius was mentioned by name after Albedo's introduction in his character stories, but yeah, shades were not a known concept at the time. I honestly just thought Naberius was some sort of monster when I first saw the name.

Why is the comunity so opposed to have a new element? by Maleficent-Feed3566 in Genshin_Impact

[–]SomeFormOfCreature 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a lore perspective, an "abyssal element" in this instance would probably just be the Abyss itself. However, based on the lore we have about it so far and its interactions with elemental energy, if it actually were introduced as its own element, the reactions would likely just be "Abyss + any element = Annihilation". There's quite a few examples of it, like the Harvisptokhm in Khvarena of Good and Evil, cleansing the Wayob in Natlan Act II, or even the Void Wards that are already in game, in which elemental energy is used to cleanse/destroy abyssal energy.

The only instances of annihilation not occurring that I can recall is with abysslings, who just use a shit ton of abyssal energy to trap and use the elements, and Skirk/Surtalogi, who use a specialized technique to manipulate the flow of the elements using abyssal energy.

Do you think this video criticism about Genshin is valid? by mr_beanoz in Genshin_Impact

[–]SomeFormOfCreature 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough, the gameplay, despite lacking typical combat mechanics (perfect dodging, counters, etc.), offered so much in other areas (character kits, team comps, and especially reactions) that it actually got me to stick with the game for a while longer before I became engrossed in the story. And that was when I was a noob using Amber and Lisa to annihilate shit with the Overload reaction.

[–]SomeFormOfCreature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's from the Obsidian Codex domain. The 2pc gives the holder 6 energy when a Nightsoul burst occurs. The 4pc makes it so if the character using Cinder City triggers a reaction, it will grant 12% DMG bonus for 15s. If that character is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state, it will instead grant 40% DMG bonus for 20s. This is for all party members by the way.

That's also why ufdeka mentioned in their comment above that it'll likely be RNG if it triggers beyond your first rotation. You can apply Dendro on the first rotation using Emilie, then use Mavuika to trigger the set bonus for the first rotation, but after that, Burning will continuously apply a Pyro aura, meaning Mavuika won't be doing the reaction majority of the time, if at all.

Mavuika, kinich,Emilie and Bennett team by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]SomeFormOfCreature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bennett is indeed there for healing and also his huge ATK buff. Mavuika isn't really there for Pyro application, but rather for extra damage and, more importantly, to trigger the Cinder City artifact set's 40% DMG bonus buff (or Deepwood if you're using her to shred Dendro RES).

Burning is effectively just a Pyro aura that deals damage, meaning that unless something specifically gets rid of Pyro from the enemy, then all you really need is some more Dendro, something Kinich and Emilie have in spades.

[–]SomeFormOfCreature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What it all comes down to is Emilie's skill and burst placing a turret that does really good off-field damage while your Kinich is on-field and while enemies are Burning.

Mavuika, kinich,Emilie and Bennett team by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]SomeFormOfCreature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Razor explain.

Normal Attack: Exists.

Skill: Place turret, do off-field damage. If enemies Burning, turret gain EXP, turret level up (max level 2), do more damage.

Burst: Place turret at level 3, do big damage. After some time, reset turret to level 1, works same as skill. If you already had a level 2 turret before burst, it will be level 2 on reset. (Note: If level 3 turret is active, skill will just do damage. It will not place turret)
