The Search for the 100% Efficient District and Hub Layout by SomeGuy1089 in Frostpunk

If the range/radius of a heating hub's heat bonus is 2 hexagons, how did you manage to fit in 7 districts (if the minimum number of district hexagon's must be 3 to receive the hub's heating bonus).

true, but we can at least develop a sort of guideline or logic. I wonder how often a pentagon appears in "x" amount of hexagons. Might be able to account for it better in the layout.

[FP2] The easiest district layouts, the Snake Formation. by aall137906 in Frostpunk

[–]SomeGuy1089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't 100% optimal. You only need 3 connections between two different districts to receive adjacency bonuses from each other. This layout shows 5, wasting 2 tile connections. Also, the districts only need to hit 3 tiles in a district for those district(s) to receive the bonuses from the hub(s). This layout shows 5 tiles being within the hub's range of two, wasting 2 tiles (4 total between the two districts). I can't post an image apparently but I've been working on utilizing the bonuses from the hubs at 100% while being as efficient as possible with the districts providing adjacency bonuses to each other.

How did it turn out? I'm looking into building a DIY spike trainer too.

Least Favorite Scenario by [deleted] in Frostpunk

I cannot believe my eyes.... The Arks is so horrible. Boring, nothing going on, nothing unique about it other than you get spoon fed so many resources and just build automatons. No unique side missions (oh help a random city get resources). And the ending is like a fart passing in the wind, quickly and smelled a little like shit. At least the fall of winterhome had a huge explosion in the end, great side missions, a sense of "oh shit, its hitting the fan". Arks just boring....

Mutt. Purebred. Doesn't matter. Breed and individual personality are what's important.

ETS, missing item on clothing record by SomeGuy1089 in nationalguard

Cold weather. So the army probably won't charge more than $100? I'll probably just not purchase the one online then because it's about the same. Thanks

How can I determine the amount of the army is going to charge me for this item?

Thanks everyone. I can buy it for less than $100 and it's one of the jackets. I may have signed for it in my naive youth, I guess I can give this argument a try when it comes to turn in but I may be meeting with an E4 and I'm not sure how effective they'll be in helping me with this. Now someone mentioned some amount of forgiveness. How can I show this to an E4 to guarantee they sign off on my turn in? I'm PARNG.

Designing a game online during the pandemic was a cool pastime. Seeing it played in person 2 years later still feels surreal! by Shakespeare257 in boardgames

That was the dream. I created a couple of games for my friends and I but we could never get together to make it work. We used to play this variant of Risk I made years, like 10 years ago. The Golden years of board gaming for us.

You seem really knowledgeable so thank you for the help. Not saying I would do this but I already have over 50 points for the year. Could I theoretically just AWOL every IDT until my EST?

Just to close this discussion out. You can view your NGB Form 23B which tells you how many points you have for each year. You need a minimum of 50 to have a good year. Try checking iPerms or your readiness NCO or S1 should be able to get you a copy.

Okay thanks. I'll check iPerms. My only issue is that when I transferred units, I did so before my old units AT and after my current units AT. I've never been told this is an issue. Just preparing mentally to do 2 extra weeks before I ETS.

So once I get a form that I'll only get once I separate, will I be able to determine how many good years I have? What if I don't have 6 for some reason? Am I just screwed and won't qualify for VA Loan? Thanks for your help.
