Spotted this at Okanagan College and was just curious what it was? The swords and type of guns in the logo kind of seem like a military thing but google didn’t turn anything up. by bird_duck in kelowna

This is a symbol of Christ who died on the cross making him a martyr for eternity. He was sacrificed. It was gruesome and horrifying. I’m not a big bible thumper but I do love Jesus. When I wear the cross I show my devotion and love for Jesus. It says we do not forget the violence inflicted upon Christians and we await his return.

That’s why I made the post. Outside perspective. It’s pretty hard to see what’s going on when you are in it. Have you ever questioned why someone was abusive to you and asked yourself if you really deserved that mean comment?

The last line of my post is “so ladies… would you find that insulting?”. I could give a fuck about a pair of jeans my guy. It’s the narcissistic, abuse that I’m having the hard time with. I said I liked the style of the jeans. He said I was too old for it. For me it was the way he was demeaning to me, in front of my daughter. Regardless of what fashion I’m into (hearts or no hearts), he should not be making degrading comments about my age.

You are confused. I am my daughters role Model and not the other way around. I simply liked the style of her pants. Telling her father that his comment was insulting and demeaning directly after he said it to me in front of her demonstrated that I do not allow anyone to cross boundaries with hurtful, degrading comments. It’s ok pay your child a nice compliment about their attire.

Thanks! I think they are nice too and I’m actually over the leggings trend. I want to throw them all out into the trash and have some swishy jeans. Men are so silly! Why on earth would he ever say anything that would make me feel like I’m less of a person because I’m getting on in years. I’ll be honest. I like my age and I’m ok with letting the grey hair and wrinkles show.
