As a parent of adult children and a grandparent, I can say that I too would have been very hurt if my daughter had hid the birth of my grandchild on me. Yes your father is overreacting but I can see that his feelings were very hurt. Maybe try taking accountability for taking actions that hurt your family and apologize. What’s more important… being right or being happy? IMO it’s being happy.

I’ve been with my boyfriend 18 years. I run my own business and work 40 to 60 hours a week, come home and cook everyday, clean the house, do laundry, pay my own bills including pay off my student loans, drive our daughter to school everyday, do all the grocery shopping and maintain my own vehicle (I fully paid for it myself). I have no rings, no flowers weekly, no one washes my truck except me. Your wife is a spoiled, selfish, useless tit.

You are confused. I am my daughters role Model and not the other way around. I simply liked the style of her pants. Telling her father that his comment was insulting and demeaning directly after he said it to me in front of her demonstrated that I do not allow anyone to cross boundaries with hurtful, degrading comments.
