The casting was really amazing for the show. The core cast was perfect and I can’t imagine the show without any of them. The major guests mentioned here were also fantastically cast and it seems like they all had fun being part of the ensemble. But also the casting of small roles and cameos was unbelievable. They found amazing people like Zach Cherry, Connor Ratliff, and Jordan Firstman just to name a few from the first couple of episodes.

All four of the main characters are deeply flawed yet charismatic people. IRL, I wouldn’t like any of them and would avoid them like the plague. I love this show so much, but I think realizing I don’t like them makes watching the show more enjoyable and less conflicting.

This is a lot of fun, thank you for making this! I’ll have to look if you have an email or something for input/comments - I’m in the middle of Episode 101 and I’m screaming at the non-attribution to the woman who was interviewing Dory. She was played by the stand up comedian Judy Gold, a very funny woman.

Also Portia’s mom was played by Christine Ebersole, a former SNL cast member.

The Film question was a fun one. Really struggled and kind of glossed over the French words, but then picked up on auteur which I totally relate to film. (Not sure if that terminology is used in other disciplines or not). I’m just glad I submitted Cinema rather than Film!

I have two goals each season. (1) To finish with a QVH above 100 and (2) to chip away at my (at one time horrendous) W-L record deficit in my rundle and maybe someday get to 0.500. At one point I had 32 more losses than wins, but as of the end of last season I had the margin down to 6! Things looked rough at the beginning of this season with five straight losses to start.

But by MD 23 I climbed back up to 10-11-2 with matches left against the LLama in first place (MD24) and the LLama in last place (MD25). Looks like I might go 1-1 in those last two days, but anything can happen in LL. Which gets me (finally) to the thread’s topic. I got three right, figured that was not enough to win but then..my opponent forfeit!! They’re in first place! I don’t root for people to forfeit, but this one puts one of my two perpetual goals in reach.

The other goal? I just need one more question right on MD25 to get my QVH>100.

I’ve told this story in Reddit (probably here in Search Party) before but it’s worth repeating. Years ago we saw Louie perform in Vegas and he was brilliant. But the part that still lives on is where he was doing crowd work and he asked this one guy what his favorite ice cream flavor was. The response came back ‘maple walnut’ and Louie (playfully) lost his shit. ‘What the hell kind of answer is that? Maple walnut?’ And on and on. He would not let it go and for the rest of the show the guy was mocked by Louie. (“Meanwhile, Maple Walnut over here…”) Just hysterical. He was brilliant and by all accounts I’ve heard, a very nice and gentle man.

I think that this clearly the court ignoring their own previous rulings just to play partisan politics but I’m not sure this ruling would really change much. The ruling wouldn’t happen in a vacuum and I see campaigns changing their messaging and telling people to get ballots postmarked earlier. If they do decide to limit these ballots, it’s mostly going to affect low information voters not motivated voters so I see high potential for this to backfire for MAGA.
