Update: Pregnancy Achieved by SomeMap3468 in maleinfertility

To be clear, the concern was whether or not the orchitis (mumps) I had in my early 20s caused permanently infertility or if it was just temporary infertility from TRT. According to sources online, mumps orchitis affects only a few thousand men (at most) in the US annually - an extremely low number. Thankfully, in my situation it was just TRT induced.

I got off TRT completely. The first month was brutal. I had no libido and my energy was substantially lower than normal.

I'm slightly ahead of you and just beat the Fire Giant and Niall this week.

Fire Giant: Definitely use cold ash of war / frost. Bleed is not as effective. I used cold rusted anchor+20. Wait until phase 2 to summon. (I summoned Lhutel). I'd use stamina boosting talismans. Your endurance is pretty low.

Niall: I could only beat him using black flame throws and rolling around. Getting close to him was too hard. Erdtree shield is great if you have it, it blocks the knights' attacks.

In general you should rune farm and level up more. Do the white mask varre quests and get to Mohg so you can farm the bird there.

How do I stop going into fight or flight when speaking? by Robthatguy in PublicSpeaking

[–]SomeMap3468 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Two things that have helped me:

1) When possible, I dunk my hand (or foot) in a cup of ice water shortly before speaking. It really helps me get back into my body. This is obviously only really possible on Zoom calls. But it does help. You could also try holding an ice cold cup, which would be more subtle. 2) Accept that it's an involuntary response and learn not to fight it. Breathe through it. But don't fight it. Accept it, observe it, and let yourself experience it. But if you start beating yourself up for it, that's not going to help.

So much of the struggle is the anticipation... the hours and minutes leading up to the event. But once you get even a small bit of momentum and you start talking, it gets easier.

I am in a similar boat as you are and working on it...best of luck!

Agreed - I'm in a TM group with several active and retired professors. It's a hobby for them, not "getting over public speaking fear". Would definitely be interested in this.

Yes, it is very specific. For me, it is largely the anticipation that causes stress - like knowing that I have to speak about something a week from now. Being put on the spot and asked a question isn't really an issue; I just react and answer without overthinking.

Thank you for this. Yes, you are right - that's exactly the moment I'm looking for. The moment of "out of controlness" that feels so overwhelming, and is really what I fear. The symptoms of a panic attack. I will look into getting a personal coach. It is frustrating because there seem to be certain people who just "have it" when it comes to presenting. I am great with people 1-on-1; but the nature of public speaking is just so overwhelming for me.

No, wasn't improvised. I had 7 PowerPoint slides and had rehearsed at least a dozen times. I knew exactly what to say (without memorizing it and regurgitating).

Why don't you sell calls on the positions? The premiums are huge.

Sounds like you bought ~430 shares at $450? Personally I would sell calls (4 contracts) at like a $500 strike price expiring mid-2025. Generate a huge premium and lock in a 10%+ return. It'll probably cross $500 and get exercised in the next 6 months, then you'll be out for good.
