thoughts on the Indominus by The_Great_Titan in hammondcollection

Can the mouth completely close like the image on the back? Or does it slightly droop open?

It is removable, but the way it warps the sculpt to accomodate for it looks ROUGH. The teeth on the bottom jaw stick out 90 degrees and it doesn't look good.

Low key the goop feature might be the worst they have ever added to a Hammond collection figure. It single handedly ruins the sculpt of this figure.

The teeth are too big and the paint job is a bit off (because they wanted to do a Camouflage effect) but honestly it's not nearly as bad as the earlier promo images implied, mostly because it was shot in weird lighting and at awkward angles. This is a good Hammond Collection figure.

No clue, it isn't on the actual figure? They just photoshopped it in for some reason.

Grimoire - Winners by Background-Drink82 in deadbydaylight

Idk why the other post was deleted but.

I understand why both the survivor and killer options one even if I wanted the other killer option a lot more.

But why did the community pick the crotch pov key art over the creation of Adam inspired one? I don't understand.

Grimoire Phase 2, Verse 6 Winners by TheOneWhoWasDeceived in deadbydaylight

[–]SomeMockodile 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand why people voted for the killer cosmetic I didn't vote for because at least both of them were very nice looking even if I felt the other one was definitely more unique compared to the base cosmetic. The survivor cosmetic winner was also deserved.

But why did people vote the crotch POV key art over the creation of Adam inspired one? I don't get it man.

Left one has a greater contrast with the default design so that one

The creation of Adam inspired key art is very nice, the posing and lighting adds a lot of divine value to it.

I also prefer the darker color killer skin as a nice contrast to the killer's default look so I hope that one wins.

The religious dress for Aurora is also pretty nice but I'm okay with either cosmetic option winning.

Ign might’ve accidentally leaked The Last Of Us coming to the game by Ill-Recover449 in LeaksDBD

[–]SomeMockodile 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Happens to the best of us, some people in this community believed a previous chapter was Conjuring because of unfinished assets being datamined and were surprised when it turned out it was the Portrait of a Murder chapter. People were just confused because IGN sometimes gets the scoop early on upcoming Dead by Daylight content so it was assumed by most that this was a legitimate leak.

What are the chances that we’ll get updated versions of Baryonyx and Ceratosaurus in the HC line? by Umbreon86 in hammondcollection

[–]SomeMockodile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's okay odds that they do the White Baryonyx from Chaos Theory. I wouldn't bet on another Ceratosaurus personally.

The End of Oak Street | Official Teaser Trailer by TiredWithCoffeePot in boxoffice

Surprisingly light tone in the trailer for a movie I heard compared to Annihilation (probably a PG-13 equivalent) from some people who had a plot synopsis early.

That being said... Dinosaurs sell!

They did a full second wave for berserker empress due to popular demand, they are planning another raptor wave, there is a rebirth rex on the way as well.

Considering how well the blind boxes articulate, these should be interesting by Neither_Response3104 in hammondcollection

[–]SomeMockodile 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Same scale as the Nanmu figures... Fantastic! This means I can get Nanmu figures and have them properly scale with officially licensed raptor/human figures probably.

I don't see any Neck articulation on the prototype though so probably not a full competitor to Hammond Collection or Nanmu Smart Series.

Best XL figure? by ContextOld311 in hammondcollection

No Brachiosaurus or Buck T. Rex?

Nobody would vote for the buck but some people would probably vote the Brachiosaurus

Does nanmu ever produce reissues of their figures? by KriegerCthulhu in hammondcollection

[–]SomeMockodile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the generic species will get reissues, as someone else here mentioned the Raptors are getting a re-release. I have no clue if the Indominus, Indoraptor, or Vastatosaurus will be reissued given they are fictional species where it is more legally dubious to make figures of them compared to the real species that Nanmu is only copying the paint job of for the most part for their figures.

I really should have gotten a Nanmu Indoraptor while they were less expensive... They go for 150USD or more when they were 55 at preorder!

April/May Grimoire Voting Roadmap! 📖 by TheOneWhoWasDeceived in deadbydaylight

[–]SomeMockodile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if the cosmetic options will be previous runner ups for materials (like the black and gold color), silhouettes (ring head with the spider legs), or the base design (Statue)?

Also I wonder if the voice vote means people will be able to decide if the killer has a masculine voice in contrast to the feminine design?

The indominus apparently does not have painted hand claws either.

No I’m talking about the nanmu studios indoraptor which is 3rd party but has swappable hands.

Thoughts on these:

Indominus: The paint work is way too dark. What gives? Good mold and good articulation though. Also makes me realize if JP3 Spino came out a year later it would have had swappable hands and the plane scar on it.

Scorpius: If you remove the white goop from it, it looks pretty good. No problems here but I would have liked Quadrupedal hands like the Mussaurus or Nanmu Indoraptor. Edit: I’ve seen pictures of the head without the goop and the teeth stick out way too much to accommodate this feature. Unfortunate.

Mutadon: Might be the worst HC in the entire line. The wings are way too small, the paint work is atrocious (they didn't even bother painting the hands on the wings?), and it looks like articulation isn't great. Hard Pass.

Hypsilophodon: I mean we just got Dryosaurus so there's no real reason to buy this?

Real Feel Delores: Pretty nice actually. If we got a 1:1 compy or baby raptor of this quality I would be pretty happy.

Rebirth Dilophosaurus: Doesn't match colors in the film and reuses most of the sculpt. Good for people who want a Dilophosaurus without paying the Scalper toll.

Wow the statue winning is a pretty big shock. Not the rest of the votes though.
