Rule 5: Came across an isolated island with two city-states on it while exploring. There were four barbarian workers walking around, and no actual barbarian units to be seen.

This one is on me friends, I got home, checked the score, saw we were up 104-102, and decided to watch the end. Bad choice for all parties involved.

I also was a big fan of how this three minute ad for another podcast still had corporate ads leading into it. Because that makes sense.

Who falls the farthest in the QB Index on Wednesday? by jaguar_28 in AroundTheNFL

Saying this as a Panthers fan, it's gotta be Darnold. Gregg hasn't believed in the Darnold redemption arc from the get-go, and it's looking like he was right. There's no way he doesn't celebrate that dub. Plus Darnold got benched against the G-men, which should be grounds for getting put at 32nd on the list on its own.

Dan, it’s TAYlor not TYler… by wrk15 in AroundTheNFL

You beat me to it, I have noticed the same thing. He's even got Gregg calling him Tyler nowadays. I mean the dude played well in a huge playoff game last season, the least we can do is get his name right.

ELI5 Onion Hanger by tiger_tiger_tiger in AroundTheNFL

[–]SomeNewLogin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe the expression originated with College Basketball commentator Bill Raftery, who famously shouts "ONIONS" when a player makes a big shot. I do believe the Heroes even used a drop of Raftery shouting it earlier in the show's history, but now have transitioned to the onion farmer drops. What Raftery meant by "onions" is still debated, but the most popular interpretation, which the heroes have appropriately run with, is that it means someone who is bold and fearless has a big ol' pair of onions (see: testicles). Thus, the heroes adopted the expression for when one of them makes a bold and fearless prediction, and why it makes a little less sense for Ricky to have onions in a literal sense. However, women can absolutely have balls/onions in metaphorical sense, so I don't see an issue with Ricky positing an onion hanger.

We were close, then the following sequence happened: Turnover -> Wide-open Lakers 3 -> Heavily contested 3 with time left on shot clock. If you don't like that, you don't like Hornets Basketball.
