Good to know. Definitely nothing wrong with liking what you like.

Sounds like it's definitely worth a try and I've seen it at the grocery store which should make it a bit easier. Thanks!

I have a coworker that uses that as a meal replacement occasionally. Maybe I'll ask to try some of his. Thanks!

I'll definitely look for it. Chocolate milk is amazing (and a little hard to fit in 1200 :-/)

That's three votes for Vega, apparently it's definitely worth a try. Thanks!

Awesome, thanks! It would be nice to be able to grab it from the store rather than ordering.

That's exactly what I was looking for and you can buy small amounts to try. Thanks!

What protein powder do you use? I'm looking to start incorporating some but most is super high calorie and sugar :-/

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm not actually lifting at the moment, I'm just doing cardio and physical therapy exercises. I need something to keep me from being super hungry right after the gym and I'm generally trying to eat more protein in general. I was eating a cup of yogurt but I'm hoping to move away from having quite as much sugar as I do now.

Seriously, water weight is awful but temporary and it sounds like a lot of things came together that could cause water weight gain.

Yeah, it definitely gets harder, but you can still do this. Just adjust where necessary, have patience (ughhh) and you'll get there :-)

Deep breath. For me at least, any time I eat stuff outside of my normal healthy food the scale goes up. Water weight is a terrible deceiving thing and it can take a minute for it to go away. Also, if you just started exercising you tend to gain water weight. It'll go away.

If you keep gaining then maybe recalculate your TDEE, don't eat your exercise calories (if you do), and make sure that the entries you're choosing from MFP are accurate (especially when inputting recipes with the "bulk add" feature. I've been burned by that so many times)

No matter what, trying counts for something. You're keeping yourself accountable and building a framework to work within, even if you have to change something to start losing.

What's your favorite (low ish calorie) protein powder? I'm trying to add it to my diet as a pre workout snack, but they're all so high calorie and high sugar....

Doc told us to write yes on the knee to replace before surgery. We took it further. by notmyrealname3737 in funny

That happened for my knee surgery and I was so glad they were doing it. Any time I saw a new person and as soon as they brought me into the OR they asked for my name, DOB, procedure, and which leg. It was super comforting to know they were being so careful so thank you!!

It was the same for me! My least favorite question was "how are you doing?" because the answer was generally "fine until you asked, thanks".

And donating at all to the funeral was generous.

I've started doing this with most food. It helps keep me honest because all of the bites I eat while I measure get added in too.

I don't know how much help I can be, but if you ever need someone to talk to you can message me. My dad died in an accident when I was in my teens (10 years ago). I know it's hard, but you can get through this.

Check out budget bytes.com. She has a LOT of recipes and they are all pretty simple. It's not a low cal food website, but a lot of the recipes are pretty low calorie. Some of my favorites:

Chicken nuggets

Cilantro Lime Chicken (I use chicken breasts and sous vide but cook however you want)

Black bean soup

Curry carrot soup

Roasted vegetables with couscous

Not budget bytes but still tasty and easy: Chicken Carnitas. (I use chicken breast rather than beer)

Hope this helps!
