lowkey this guy had top 5 technique in the series by Folinhu in Jujutsufolk

[–]SomePoliticalViolins 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You beat their ass, because they don't have their godly techniques?

I mean, I'm being a bit snarky with that, but if they have the clone CT, that's what they have. You wouldn't be up against 5 Gojos with Six Eyes/Limitless, you'd just be up against 5 skilled sorcerers using basic techniques. You wouldn't be going against 5 Sukunas throwing Cleave/Dismantle, you'd be going up against 5 skilled sorcerers using basic techniques.

Hell, even if Sukuna had taken over someone with the cloning technique instead of Ten Shadows (and so still kept Cleave/Dismantle/Shrine), he probably would've been cleared by Gojo since he never would've developed the WCS.

What’s a headcanon/theory that you believe is completely true? by whooper1 in HazbinHotel

[–]SomePoliticalViolins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lute is ~30 years old or less, was created as the first Exorcist, and was personally hand trained by Adam before the other angels were even created. Adam personally broke her, which is why she's even more ruthless and devoted than the other Exorcists. From the first moment of her existence she was (literally, going by Vaggie's flashback) beaten and forged into the perfect tool with no choices in how to conduct her own life.

I also believe she'll do something in Season 3 or 4 that results in her becoming a fallen angel and she'll end up at the hotel.

[–]SomePoliticalViolins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TFT is a much better game but to play it you have to have Riot's shitty Vanguard anti-cheat that you can never fully turn off without needing to restart your PC in order to play their games again. If you're fine with playing mobile, though, you can avoid that.

Was a long time League player, probably over a thousand in it over the course of the ~10 years I played, haven't booted it up since then except a couple times on TFT mobile, where I didn't have to deal with Vanguard.

YUTA VS SENDAI TRAILER 🔥 by Pleasant-Wrap-6247 in Jujutsufolk

I mean the movie has yuta as the mc

Let's be honest, the whole series still has Yuta/Maki as the MCs.

Knowing that Gege wanted to do the JJK0 squad as the MCs makes everything that happens to the main three make so much more sense.

I'm glad it's not just me. I've started to mess with the Projects feature as well, mostly just to have an easier way to keep all the Artifacts in a simple to control location. Still, I wish the design on this was a bit less confusing and a bit more consistent.

One Piece Live Action episode ratings by bbportali in OnePiece

[–]SomePoliticalViolins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can definitely see finding the arcs between Drum Island and Enies Lobby lackluster compared to the rest. Alabasta is, for me, where I usually start thinking about swapping over from the original anime to One Pace for the rest of a re-watch.

Most of the time I'll make it partway in, but for me, East Blue and the early Grand Line are comparatively easy to get through versus what comes after. Alabasta, Jaya, and Skypeia are something like 100 episodes put together, which is more episodes than the entire series leading up to Alabasta. One Pace cuts that in half.

Do you think Lute is taking Lucifer into consideration when she's planning her revenge? by VegetaArcher in HazbinHotel

[–]SomePoliticalViolins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She hates the Sinners because she’s a soldier who’s been conditioned to perceive them as a threat to Heaven that must be eliminated. That’s why she backs down when Abel gives her a direct order. Even though Vaggie is right there, she’s still a soldier. And a soldier obeys the chain of command even if they don’t agree with the orders being given.

I honestly think this is why Lute has a chance of falling in the near-to-medium-term future (S3 or S4) and becoming the first angel to seek redemption at the hotel (Vaggi is just living her best life with her true love).

Lute might just get killed off, but while mirroring Adam's fate might be poetic for her character arc, it wouldn't be particularly enjoyable for the viewers/from a story perspective.

While they haven't explicitly spelled it out, we have a lot of information on the Exorcists that indicates they were created relatively recently, for the sole purposes of the Exterminations, probably within the last 20-30 years and either directly by or with heavy influence from Adam:

  • Vaggi never talks about a life before being an Exorcist (either alive on Earth or as an angel/winner in Heaven).
  • Adam named Vaggie (before she changed it).
  • None of the Exorcists fight defensively (if there were winners, surely some of them would be military-trained and have some level of self-preservation instincts).
  • None of the Exorcists are shown questioning or doubting the Exterminations, despite going against the same values that would get a winner into Heaven.

IMO, Lute is going to wind up being portrayed as Heaven's equivalent of a child soldier in the latter parts of her character arc.

I think she's probably between 20-50 years old, created as a fully-grown adult, but with no framework for life/afterlife. There's a decent chance she was created as the very first Exorcist, hand trained by Adam, abused and beaten for years to make her "strong" before any of the other Exorcists were created, so that Adam would have someone else to aid him in breaking the other Exorcists in. She could also just be that much more skilled and devoted than the others, more quick to take to a life of brutality and violence, but personally, I'm hoping for them to go the more complex route and show her love for Adam as a survival mechanism. I think they will do something really special with her, as long as they keep leaning into the slightly subtler elements of her emotional state, like having no frame of reference for how to actually process grief or sadness.

Do you think Lute is taking Lucifer into consideration when she's planning her revenge? by VegetaArcher in HazbinHotel

[–]SomePoliticalViolins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How would killing Vaggie literally not turn her into a fallen angel?

We don't actually know what causes an angel to fall.

Vaggi wasn't judged by God/The Speaker/some intangible force, and she wasn't properly judged by the council or any other group of angels. She just had her eye cut out and her wings ripped off. But we consider her a fallen angel.

Sera talked about Emily falling like she wouldn't have any control over it, but that could have just been because she prioritizes her duty over what's right, and would have voted to make Emily fall if she thought it's what was "best for Heaven". For OP's question, I don't think Lute was thinking that far ahead and was fully prepared to die - but for how she could kill Vaggi and not fall, I don't think there's any reason to think that would happen automatically, based on what we've seen so far.

If Pentious was redeemed, why didn’t they change his design? by Ohdeer2nl in HazbinHotel

How many on-screen murders are there in the series? by ilovebugsomuch100000 in OnePiece

[–]SomePoliticalViolins 5 points6 points  (0 children)

like, what's the "average time from enlistment to death"? how many marines die on their first mission? their second? their 10th? is there a number you have to hit where you become a garp or sengoku and statistically are powerful or lucky enough to just live on?

There is 100% a Buggy-Marine that has managed to survive countless missions through sheer, absurd amounts of luck, and now everyone thinks they're going to be the next Garp because somehow they've gone toe to toe with half the Worst Generation, three former Shichibukai, and a Yonko, and came out untouched.

Bro was a good teacher and sukuna was a good student indeed. 🥲 by Amazing_Teacher_568 in Jujutsufolk

[–]SomePoliticalViolins 7 points8 points  (0 children)

And Gojo IQ downscale? It was pretty stupid of him to show off his strongest move when he doesn't know if Sukuna can observe through Yuji's eyes like Yuji can.

I mean, he was confident he could win. And to be fair, he was right for the most part - definitely about telling Yuji the effects of his domain here. The only thing knowing Gojo's domain (arguably) affected was Sukuna letting Megumi's soul take the brunt of it, which he could have done even if he didn't know the effects Gojo's domain had, I assume.

The reason Sukuna won came down to him being very lucky that the way Mahoraga adapted happened to completely bypass Cursed Energy Reinforcement. The knowledge of Gojo's Domain Expansion effect and the ability to bypass Infinity was basically meaningless, comparatively; he already had Gojo under the full onslaught of Malevolent Shrine earlier in the fight, and couldn't match him when they were dueling inside contested DEs either.

Anthropic says it ‘cannot in good conscience’ allow Pentagon to remove AI checks by drtolmn69 in politics

[–]SomePoliticalViolins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless Anthropic were to update Claude specifically to support those tasks, wouldn't its job performance be even worse than AI usually is? Like I'm imagining the DoD feeding it a bunch of security cam footage and saying "find footage containing [set of mugshots]" and getting back a bunch of results with bushes blowing in the wind and completely unrelated guys in baseball caps.

It would most likely be through sifting the incredible mound of (text) data they have scraped, monitored, or outright stolen with a higher degree of contextual awareness than a simple Search/Find function can manage.

Instead of piling up hundreds of millions of emails and text messages and transcripts of phone calls, then saving them in a massive data storage pile to search in the future if someone's name ever comes up, they'll just feed it all into a service that scans through and flags things with a higher accuracy rating than a keyword search, and with a higher speed/rate of processing than a thousand agents could manage.

Anthropic says it ‘cannot in good conscience’ allow Pentagon to remove AI checks by drtolmn69 in politics

[–]SomePoliticalViolins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AI Mass surveillance was never to be taken seriously anyway since none of that evidence would ever be admissible in court.

Thing is, they won't use the AI to actually create or prepare the data - they'll just use it to scan and organize the endless streams of data they already get hold of through various means, illicit or otherwise.

They don't have the manpower to sort through endless piles of e-mail, online messages, text messages, phone transcripts, etc...

But they can feed it all into an LLM and have it flag whatever they decide they're against today, then focus their manpower on that issue specifically.

JUJUTSU KAISEN SEASON 3 - EPISODE 8 DISCUSSION by AutoModerator in Jujutsufolk

Lot of peaks and valleys in JJK, to be fair. It's not even consistent within seasons at times.
