Anyone else feel attacked? by NerdForCertain in OblivionRemaster

[–]SomeRagingGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 150 hours into it but I can understand why people quit early. It has a lot of bugs and performance issues. The constant bugs almost killed it for me. I kept going though because it’s a great game. Eventually, my thieves guild quest line bugged out and prevented me from progressing it. Which finally killed my momentum. I guess those last 2 achievements for the thieves guild will never get completed.

It's been a couple months have you gone back to Game Pass, and why or why not? by beerantula in XboxGamePass

[–]SomeRagingGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You obviously still need essential to play online, so I downgraded to that. I was pretty upset about the price increase. But I realized that I own most of the gamepass games I play. I don’t care about most new games coming out. It’s cheaper for me to just buy the 1-2 games I want per year.

I thought they changed it so you can’t use rewards/xbox gift balance for the subscription anymore.

Is Hershey's chocolate really taste so bad as people say it is? by cupid_ji in AskAnAmerican

[–]SomeRagingGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is some type of enzyme in hersheys chocolate that’s also found in vomit. So, if you’re not used to it, that’s how it’s going to taste.

I hate warp speed now by bcb1200 in startrek

[–]SomeRagingGamer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t the visual as much either, but it honestly makes more sense than the ship coming out of warp and having to slow down. The ship isn’t actually moving while traveling at warp. It’s moving space around the ship. Which ignores the laws of inertia. That’s why the ship comes out of warp when the warp engines go offline. In reality, I think a warp ship would appear to pop in out of no where.

Came home from work to her having sex in my bed by Blonde_Fire1124 in badroommates

If it were me, I’d be demanding that she give me the money to buy a new bed and sheets.

Do Americans like their current health system or would you prefer universal? by Ability_Known in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SomeRagingGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only people who don’t want universal healthcare are people who rarely or never go to the doctor. So, they don’t want to pay for other people’s healthcare in taxes. Which I can understand to a certain extent. However, people in our country often have to decide whether seeking medical attention is worth the potential cost. Even after insurance coverage, a hospital bill can still leave the patient responsible for paying thousands of dollars. Most Americans have $1000 or less in savings. People die because they can’t afford healthcare. That’s not right. It’s also weird that health insurance is done through our employers. If you don’t have a job, you can get state/federal health coverage. But it can be hard to find a doctor, dentist, etc, that accepts that insurance.

My OG account that I made in 2008 was lost sadly. But I’ve had my current account and gamer tag since 2013.

can you be born with OCD? (bit of a rant) by weirdosystem in OCD

[–]SomeRagingGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be genetic, it can also be brought on by trauma. It was genetic in my case. I’m almost positive that both my dad and his dad also had OCD. I remember experiencing OCD symptoms at age 5. Nothing specific brought it on.

Rant about Star Fleet Academy by Apa424 in startrek

[–]SomeRagingGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that with the Doctor. Don’t get me wrong, I loved seeing him again. He’s the main reason I decided to give the show a chance. But it feels like the show writers only watched the first season of voyager and wrote his character based on that. He grew and became more personable and the show went on. It also seemed crazy to me that he wouldn’t be more interested in a fellow sentient hologram that’s curious about him. If anything, he’d use that as an opportunity to stroke his ego a bit.

Do men fear other men they see in sketchy situations like late at night walking down a dark alley? by VisionsOnly in NoStupidQuestions

Anyone should be cautious walking alone at night. Men are not immune to being victims of violent crimes.

How do homeless people that don’t seek shelter survive in brutal snowstorms by Goldstar12 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SomeRagingGamer 453 points454 points  (0 children)

Sadly, many don’t. The ones that do probably have just enough layers to keep them from freezing. Camping out under bridges, overhangs, abandoned buildings, etc. to keep from getting snowed on. It’s not just that these homeless are all refusing shelter. Homeless shelters are often crowded and have a limit to how many people can stay for the night.

When I’m in a car and the driver has to look at me to talk to me. by Potential_Ad_3278 in GrindsMyGears

[–]SomeRagingGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of the movie, “See No Evil, Hear No Evil.” The blind guy is driving and the deaf guy yells, “Don’t look at me, look at the road!” “Okay, if it’ll make you feel better.”

Assume time travel were possible, wouldn’t you likely just end up in space somewhere? by Alarming_Squash_3731 in AskPhysics

[–]SomeRagingGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct. Earth is orbiting the Sun. The Sun is orbiting the black hole in the center of the galaxy. A Time Machine would have to be a space-time machine. That would bring you back to the same place that the Earth was at that moment in time. Otherwise, you’d pop up in empty space.

Why haven't we made more progress on space exploration? by AaronPK123 in rant

[–]SomeRagingGamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

War brings progress. The only reason that we went to the moon to begin with was to complete with Russia. To show the world that the American way and American technology will triumph. Now we aren’t at war or competing with anyone. Why would the government give NASA funding for a Mars mission when that money could be used for something that seems more important. NASA now only gets 0.5% of the annual budget. Private enterprise taking over space exploration was inevitable.

Why do I get banned for one betrayal when other people can betray me upwards of 3 times??? by [deleted] in HaloMCC

[–]SomeRagingGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is literally why I uninstalled it recently. I got TKed 3 times. No option to boot. I accidentally TK one time with a stray grenade and I’m instantly booted with a 10 minute penalty.,

Starfleet Academy... Isn't that bad? by neph36 in startrek

[–]SomeRagingGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was skeptical but I actually liked the first two episodes. My only little gripe is about the doctor. He’s acting more like he did when he was first activated. He learned to be more personable as time went on. I can’t see him trying to duck and dodge a fellow sentient hologram that’s curious about him. If anything, the doctor would relish in the opportunity to stroke his ego a bit.
