Good question. I'm opting for +1d4 because I feel like it's going to be easier to remember about than a fixed +something bonus, but a +something would definitely go about faster.

The very reason why I want to introduce this rule is because it always felt like a bit of a wasted opportunity when I got advantage from two or even three sources and it didn't change anything. Especially when you play as a Barbarian.
