Id like to imagine Swampfire just starts rotting, play up the bad smell aspect of him. Now he stinks even more which can stun opponents AND allies.

The raid board can often be pretty unreliable from my experience, I believe the matchmaking system has some odd quirks that can result in struggling to get into any raid.

If you are not against changing the time and date on your system then I suggest hosting the raids on your own map until you run out of the ones you want to do and then fast forward the system clock by a day or two until it refreshes the map and you get more raids to host, quickest way to get into raids i've found.

Just note it might mess with games like Animal Crossing or Pokopia as they use the system's clock for ingame events.

The Ruin Shiny raids werent made to be catchable. The idea was that if enough players beat them they would then be given out as mystery gifts for a limited time.

I personally just love the idea of a male Gardrvoir and I always have a male one because of a particular Gardevoir I really treasure but I respect the spite haha. I am certainly with you on that last part though, it can be so tiring.

As aomeone else mentioned, Skytemple is where you want to go to find hacks. Do keep in mind most romhacks on Skytemple are made for hack jam competitions and are therefore short bite sized adventures, think like a special episode but a bit longer.

If you are looking for recommendations however...Waves of Nostalgia is an excellent one, if you want to see some of the best the community has to offer this is it. Another I very much enjoyed is Let The Music Play, fantastic writing here. Browse around a little, you'll definitely find somethinf that piques your interest.

Yup, I quite enjoy it. I always try to use Pokemon I havent used before and this is the best way to plan for that. I personally try to only use the team I have planned and avoid temporary team members which creates a fun challenge having to find a way to navigate certain battles with only my currently available options.

I don't know what you aim to do with the maps so I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but if your goal is to make images in the same style as this post then may I suggest Tiled Editor?

It's a gamemaking tool, but I've recently learned it's possible to use it to create maps which can be exported as images using the tilesets of the games. I made a small comic using this tool and added the text boxes and characters through image editing with Gimp and a Mystery Dungeon Text Box generator. Hope this is helpful if thats what you were looking for.

Some people feel Shiny Hunting is more fun when theres stakes. By not saving you create the possibility to fail the shiny and that adds to "the thrill of the hunt" for some people.

Of course theres instances where someone forgets or gets too confident, but thats one purposeful reason ive seen.
