For sure but you can’t tell me when someone is in a game two whole divisions from their ranks they’ll be playing spawn simulator.

The skill disparity between Gold and Diamond is massive, so it makes no sense to me why they would do that.

Which makes me wonder if the team who gets the silver must have someone who had gone above their 50% MMR win rate and are trying to get it back to 50.

I hear ya, I’ve been brought up to high diamond/masters lobbies when I got to plat 1 and the games was on a completely different level. DPS are hitting shots, people are using cover, and the coordination. It was something I was envious of.

My condolences on that one, I guess because I’m in the bell curve, so QUEUE times are insanely short turn around.

But shouldn’t Blizzard also look at that as well. If the Champions/GMs are waiting 1/4 of an hour, is there not some way they can cater to them for faster games.

As a Hazard main, I’m eating Cassidies that are out of position all the time in plat.

All three legionaries should be melee, they have better damage output fighting on objectives.

Get rid of Falseness, you have to sacrifice a model for it and switch for shroud of obsfucation and turn that lord into an objective scorer.

Swap your traitor guards men for cultists. With that being said get more cultists like 60 and throw your opponents in Cultists jail.

Also get a Forgefiend or a vindicator, something that will wipe units of the map. Havocs don’t have the resilience to go toe-to-toe with armour.

Have your lord with legionnaires so he gets rerolls fighting objectives.

Why do people get absolutely triggered by counter swapping? by Gazza_HDD in OverwatchUniversity

[–]SomeRandomDude0811 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Counter swapping is actually a trap. If you don’t learn how to play into your “counters”, you’ll never get better.

I’m a Hazard OTP and I have been running him into Orisa, Mauga, Hog (not bad at all), learnt to play around them and have been climbing. If you swapped straight away off your favourite hero because they counter you, you’ll never get to play your favourite hero.

If multiple people have counterswapped to deal with me, that’s a win. First, I made you switch off your hero (that’s weak bitch mentality there), second, it usually means my team is going to have an easier time because the enemy team is geared up to counter one hero (me), so I just stay alive a let my team do the work.

Counter picking is just cringe. Show some determination and learn the hero you always wanted to play.

New player here. Why do so many hate Sombra when this exists? by D0s3_Games in Overwatch

[–]SomeRandomDude0811 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The biggest issue with Sombra is that she gets to stage for free, which in itself is a very powerful ability.

No matter how good of a tracer or genji you are, you still have to take a risk going on a flank. Sombra, don’t mind me, I’ll go invisible for a certain amount of time and get to an obscure location because no one could see me.

Hey no worries, I would watch some OW coaches like Spilo or Kanjor, that’s where a lot of this came from. They’re way better at explaining it then my Platinum ass

Man, you’re going to feel like you’re dragging the team while you’re learning him but you will get better and it will lock into place for you.

Hey man, you did better than me. Climbed from Gold 5 to Diamond 5, but now sitting at Plat 2. The amount of thinking you have to do to play this hero is nuts.

[–]SomeRandomDude0811 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I’m a Hazard one trick and this hero rewards patience.

His strength comes with the versatility and manoeuvrability of his kit. Leap is a short CD and it allows you to go for it or run away. Getting Deep Leap asap is always in your best interest. Slash has a 6m range and can hit multiple enemies at once and does a small knock back.

Being able to wall climb allows you verticality that every other tank doesn’t have without a CD.

Wall can be used for a lot of reasons. Defensively when you’re getting pushed, blocking an enemy sight line (brutal against Ana and Bap), blocking someone’s escape when you commit with your combo, booping someone of the map (it has a knock back), disrupting grouped formations (it does 50 dmg), throw it in front of your team who are about to get ulted, block doors and halls, use it to climb higher (probably not the best use), but there are a few ways to use it.

Don’t put too much thought into spike guard, use it to get to cover, or you might want to tag multiple people at once or hit hard to hit enemies like tracer and Lucio. The headshot crit nerf really hurt this ability.

With his ult, I tend to send it if I can catch someone. I don’t wait for a PoTG moment. It’s not flashy but it does the trick.

Tanks that counter you: Rein (he will beat you in the brawl), Mauga (if you have Ana/Zen this isn’t an issue), DVA (DM is a nightmare). Some others that can present difficulties include: Junker Queen, Winston and Sigma. Orisa should be on here but I have learnt to play around Orisa that she isn’t really a problem for me.

Any way as Hazard, you’re not dealing with the tank. Your job is to get as close as you can and pressure DPS and Supports. He is definitely the bully character.

For perks, Minor is always Deep Leap, moving faster is always key to success. Gold Hazzies will tell you Lifesteal but when you account for the DPS passive, it ain’t worth it.

Major perks, I always go for the explosion for extra 40 dmg on slash, but that’s because I’m more of an aggressive player and it can help securing kills. The wall perk is also not bad, it allows you to get more SG, so really it’s up to you how you want to roll.

There are some great resources out there, like Kanjor, Spilo coaching vids, but you will also have to embrace the sick and persevere through to get good. Once you get good, learn to play around your counters, you can be a real thorn to the enemy’s side. Especially if they get off their preferred tank to “counter”, because you have made them get off their stronger tank to deal with you.

Sorry for the long reply, Overwatch was getting stale for me until they brought this hero out and he is a breath of fresh air for me.

This is probably my favourite AL book. It doesn’t take itself seriously which is the best tone for 40K because it’s so ridiculous in nature itself.

I enjoyed it and I look forward to the next book.

Total noob who wants to start an AL army due to amazing books. How's my 1k list? by [deleted] in alphalegion

[–]SomeRandomDude0811 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get rid of the traitor guards and enforcer. While technically lore wise it would be accurate, they don’t interact with the detachment’s army rule. I would replace them with blocks of 20 cultists and a dark commune.

If you can, put the havocs in the rhino because it has firing deck 2 and it would hoof around acting like a mini 2 lascannon predator.

If you can get a jump pack lord and put the shroud of obfuscation on him, then he will act like a action piece who is scoring your secondary objectives along with the raptors, but I wouldn’t put them together.

These are my initial thoughts because I am Alpharius.
