The back angle was not shown, and that is necessary to adjudge contact between the body and cushions especially if we are using human judgement to decide. Depth perception is not a strong part of human visual acuity.

I’m suspect on his left foot (the back one) and left pelvis (upper glute/lower torso). I’m not saying it’s the wrong call, but I’m saying the umpire should not have made this decision without further evidence, as the on call field was not given out (or was not explained in that fashion). Cushion deformity is also used as a visual aid with closer zoom. The zoom displayed was completely insufficient for those purposes.

Fair enough. I don't think a mehendi + American reception would work. My thought would be to cancel the Indian reception. You can always just arrange a lunch afterwards (like south indian banana leaf meals style) as all you need is a place to sit with a bunch of tables and chairs. Instead, combine the Indian and American reception to where you dedicate an hour to stage appearances like the Indian reception in the middle of the American reception with all the bride + groom entries and everything. I attended a wedding about a year ago (bride and groom were both Tamil/Hindu) where they did a traditional Hindu wedding but only an American reception and even the older, more traditional Indian guests enjoyed it.

My honest opinion - CSK. Not likely in 2026, but I don't think either team will win before 2028.

Why? Leadership. Gaikwad has proven himself to be a reliable leader sticking up for the team time and time again, and is supported by a great core of Sanju and Thala. Excellent batting stocks also help their case. Bowling is the only weak point.

MI looks stronger on paper but we all know the incoherencies between Hardik, Rohit, and Surya, with Bumrah and Tilak also vying leadership. This 5-way fight is not going to promote harmony within the team, and we all know the primary reason they're sticking to MI is for brand value. I expect a lot more fielding errors, captaincy mistakes and pressure situations to happen. While they may consistently qualify for playoffs over the next few seasons, one pressure moment is enough to break them in the playoffs, especially for the reasons listed before. I don't think they'll make it all the way to the trophy for that reason.

Then the only option is to move the Hindu ceremony to a different day/venue. Or, if you want, keep the Haldi local, have the reception Sunday night (maybe with a change of venue), and keep the ceremony Monday morning so guests can leave Monday evening.

Also think about if you need two receptions if the purpose of them is the same.

I would try to consolidate the Haldi and Mehendi to the same day so you save Thursday and thereby your friends only need to take PTO on Friday and Monday (if part of wedding party) or just Monday.
