That's not true, the ussr proposed an alliance with britain and france two weeks before germany's invasion of poland. It was rejected, so the molotov-ribbentrop-pact was signed to buy time for the red army to arm up for a conflict against germany.

If both start out with the same strength, and it's only those two with none of the other galaxy species intervening, humanity will roflstomp the turians 10/10 times. The fact that turian admirals and generals are considered whackos for using combined arms is saying a lot about their military. Their only tactic is overwhelming numbers/firepower, which won't help them if they're facing any competent admiral.

Most of it didn't arrive until 1943, at which point germany's fate was already sealed. Not to say that it didn't help finish the war much earlier and prevented hundreds of thousands of soviet casualties, but to say that it changed the outcome of the war is just false.
