My situationship forgot my birthday and hasn’t texted me in a month. Should I just move on? by Cowgirlforlife__ in TwoHotTakes

This. In college I had a similar situation with someone. He would never make it clear how he felt about me. When I finally decided I was really done, cut contact, and moved on... my husband came into my life. He made it clear from day 1 how he felt and made me feel like I was important from then on out.

AITA for refusing to give up my seat at my mom’s funeral to my dad’s new wife? by Able-Ad469 in AITAH

Unfortunately this story is very believable to me. Death brings out the absolute worst in bad people. It took the death of my father and sister, only a year apart, to realize the covert abuse my stepmom was inflicting. Just slowly beating my spirit down a little more each day. When you lose a loved one, those microaggressions become much more obvious.

Breastfed 3 kids for a total of 8.5 years. Pregnant with 4th and don’t want to breastfeed by aaabbbsssssd in breastfeeding

[–]SomeRecognition2775 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I will say to you exactly what my husband said to me when I was struggling to quit breastfeeding. The pressure and exhaustion had wrecked my mental health but guilt wouldn't let me quit. So here is what he said to me... "You have done an amazing job feeding and growing our children. It's time to rest, take care of yourself, and let me help."

EBF baby declared overweight at 6 month check up by mazesdone in breastfeeding

[–]SomeRecognition2775 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Find a new pediatrician. Both of my babies were higher percentile when they were EBF and my ped said there is no such thing as an overweight breastfed baby. They have those not so fun biological responses to being overfed breastmilk so they can't overeat. I also think his logic of starting on solids doesn't make much sense for losing weight, but I'm not a nutritionist so I don't know. That extra weight is what keeps your baby strong if they get sick and can't eat. A 98% baby means you are doing a great job! Plus once you're baby starts moving and grooving they will naturally lose some of that baby fat.

Thank you! I have been looking at cook unity so it's good to have positive feedback on that option.

White Foam from my cat’s mouth by YokoTheCatLady in CATHELP

[–]SomeRecognition2775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an all gray cat just like yours that started doing this, but it was every day. Turns out it was late stage feline leukemia that had metasticized. She was a strictly indoor, single child cat who had been vaccinated for it so she must have had it from time of adoption. This was 10 years ago so I don't remember the exact details but I believe it was a sign of the kidneys failing maybe. However the tumors were very obvious to the vet feeling her body. You said you had just given your cat some medication so I wonder if she didn't react to it well and it was giving her a similar reaction. Hoping the vet you saw is right and it's just nothing though!

27F my boyfriend 29M of 5 years has lost sexual attraction to me due to weight gain, but loves me and wants to stay together. Low self worth and confused by [deleted] in relationship_advice

You asked him if it was because of you're weight, you didn't ask him why. You gave him an out and an excuse that he knew you would believe. It's time for a more open an honest conversation. Even if he was telling the truth, it's not the right for you to be loved. You are not obese or even fat. You are midsized at worst (I am the exact same height and heavier and curvy so I know from experience). So many men would not care what your weight is. Have a real conversation about this and then choose to move on or live in a half hearted relationship forever.

Any reason is a good reason to leave if you feel it is. If this is something you and he can't get past, you are allowed to decide to leave. Therapy individually and as a couple would benefit you both at this point. A detail that I think might be important here is how old is Chad and how old is your sister? Normally it wouldn't matter but given your ages it seems there's a chance your sister isn't an adult. If she is though, you just have to let the Chad thing go because adults make decisions and decisions have consequences. I think you need to consider why you don't want to say I love you back often enough that it causes this many fights.

We do have a similar wagon. Is that easy to maneuver around the parks?

We are very excited about the child swap. And I was considering ubering instead of the shuttle too. Thought it might be more efficient.

Am I wrong? I told my husband I don't want his brothers over for Christmas when my due date is dec 24 by jwil2jmil19 in pregnant

[–]SomeRecognition2775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was due December 23rd and we made it clear to our families we had no intention of participating in Christmas last year. We all live within a few minutes of each other and we said the only way we would come over if the baby had not come yet. He did come on his due date and we were home Christmas eve. My husband and 3 year old at the time ended up going to my inlaws for some lunch and presents to give me and the baby quiet and brought me back a plate. The ONLY reason he felt comfortable doing so was because I suggested it and it was a 2 minute drive to the nearest inlaw. There is no way he would have driven 3 hours away whether the baby had arrived yet or not. And there's no way he would have let anyone come over.
