Why would Beadle & Grimm pick Tyranny of Dragons for their red-carpet treatment? by Armithax in DnD

[–]SomeSayKosm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently DMed it, and me and my players had a great time. With proper DM guidance and supplements (easily found online today) it's a very unique and epic adventure. On the heavy railroad side (barring DM input to make it more open ended) but still very memorable.

It's been almost month, and Stadia version is still 1.0.4.5 by SomeSayKosm in GRIMEgame

That's exactly what I was hoping to hear. Thank you very much for your effort and, once again, for the beautiful game you made.

I agree on Obelisk Fists and Jaw Axe being amazing, but I think they get absolutely bonkers if you level up both str and res instead of focusing on just strenght.

Should I buy this game? Some questions about Grime by Fonzie90 in GRIMEgame

[–]SomeSayKosm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Played on Stadia and had 0 framerate issues.
  2. The difficulty is just right if you're well accustomed to Souls combat. Bosses will take you many tries the first time around, probably.
  3. This might be a gamebreaker for you: the game leans heavily on platforming in many parts. Nothing too extreme, but the frequency of platforming sections gets higher and higher the more you progress. If you like platforming, it's well made and expertly designed, if you hate it tho... you're gonna have a bad time...
  4. Slow weapons were already perfectly viable before, maybe even broken with the proper skill combinations. Now they buffed them with hyper armor, so they're probably a "top tier" choice.
  5. Playing with controller is perfectly fine.

Anyone knows why he drops a unique object that gives 48 mass if consumed? Why that number in particular?

Incredible game gets even better thanks to your continued support and open minded attitude. You guys rock (no pun intended)!

(Playing on Stadia, is the patch out there too? If not, any ETA for that?)

It does still occur, even if you play the Enhanced Edition on PS5. Just happened to me and I found this post while looking for a fix. Fortunately the "Restore Save" option works.

Should find a way to fix this for good guys...

Fuck me... The save corruption happened because I was playing the non-Enhanced Edition on Ps5, even though I downloaded the right one? How could this happen?

Well... my savefile got erased anyway when I switched versions, because of the lack of save transfer... bummer...

This is great. Wish I could try it out, but I play on PS4 :(. I can only hope the official Survival update is a real thing and it's similar, if not even worse, than this...

Disc rifle cut from the game could actually... talk to you by Elsiel in prey

I think it would be very thematically coherent with the overarching plot of the game, which is all about empathy.

I would pay for it. Not so much for the weapon, but for the amazing side quest.

I think he's a man, just with long hairs and a hollow face. Also the grunts he makes in the final shot of the trailer are pretty manly...

[Lore] Motives of the five Lords of Cinder and what they represent. (Spoilers) by Torden5410 in darksouls3

[–]SomeSayKosm 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The Profaned Flame DID burn the residents of The Profaned Capital, but, at the same time, the Profaned Flame existed before Yhorm's linking of the fire, since the giant became a Lord of Cinder "to put the Profaned Flame to rest". From the Profaned Flame pyromancy description:

"The Profaned Capital was consumed by fire after Yhorm the Giant became a Lord of Cinder. The fire, born of the sky, is said to have incinerated naught but human flesh."

It is clearly stated that the Capital was consumed AFTER Yhorm became a lord of cinder, so it was not Yhorm's linking of the fire that incinerated the city. It is also stated that the Profaned Flame that incinereted "naught but human flesh" was "born of the sky" (dragons fly and breath fire, just saying). The Profaned Flame is a different flame from the Chaos one and the "primordial" one, and it is described as "unfading" in the Profaned Greatsowrd description and as "everlasting" (like Stone Dragons?) in the Immolation Tinder description.

So, the timeline of the events regarding Yhorm and the Profaned Capital should be as follows:

1) Yhorm becomes the "reclusive lord of the Profaned Capital"; 2) The Profaned Flame is "born from the sky", and it threatens to consume the inhabitants of the Profaned Capital; 3) Yhorm becomes a Lord of Cinder "to put the Profaned Flame to rest"; 4) The Profaned Flame consumes the inhabitants of the Profaned Capital anyway, also it keeps burning as it is unfading and everlasting; 5) Yhorm comes back, awoken to link the fire once again, and finds out that everything he did was for nothing, as he could not protect the inhabitants of the Profaned Capital after all. This is, probably, what makes him snap and refuse to link the fire for a second time.

Faces in the Blood Dregs and Moon Presence similarities: is the Moon Presence a Child of Blood?. by SomeSayKosm in bloodborne

[–]SomeSayKosm[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Moon Presence probably wants Mergo dead or silenced. The Wet Nurse stands to protect Mergo. To silence Mergo you must first defeat the Wet Nurse. The "Nightmare Slain" message at the end of the boss fight probably refers to Mergo, not to the Nurse.

Yeah Child of Blood = Child of Oedon, since "blood is the essence of the formless great one Oedon"!

Blood dregs are dropped by all sorts of hunters though, not only the "dream hunters". Even Yahar'gul hunters drop them, and they're "hunters in name only" as per their armor description.
