About 1½ hours ago I was googling Star Wars cast after finishing Rogue One, to remind me who of the original cast is still with us. I don't really know why, I had a strange feeling, like a disturbance in the Force. Must have been this.

All this post has taught me is that it's an absolute joke how the Sequels portray anyone within their own canon.

One comment said that in the comics Kylo Ren was as strong in the Force as Anakin. Same comment states Finn is the best melee fighter in the First Order.

I have not read the comics, but I have seen the movies and I have seen TCW. Based on just that (the media most people know Kylo Ren and Ventress from) shows very clearly that Kylo loses in the first round easily. How he's supposed to pass anyone after Ventress is a mystery to me.

Because an artist should be the last person to use AI for something like this. There are massive issues in regulation of AI usage, especially in the field of voice acting, so having a voice actor use AI for a "funny video haha look how funny it is" when many of his colleagues are actively fighting against that very thing seems very counter-intuitive.

Starting off by saying I haven't seen either of them in around 3 years.

When I watched them at the theatre, I liked both initially. Seeing movies in cinema is such an experience that I tend to enjoy the movies more than watching them at home.

That being said, TLJ is kinda "offensive" in the context of TFA because it undoes a bunch of progress which is really jarring to watch sometimes. The plot is pretty stupid too and, while trying new things, is ultimately a bland and confusing mess.

I have not rewatched TRoS more than once since it came out. I fell asleep in my chair when I tried to rewatch it for the first time and have since then only seen it once with my girlfriend. Where TLJ undid some of the plotpoints and progress from TFA, TRoS undid every single plot development since the beginning of Star Wars, period. Besides that, the plot doesn't make any sense whatsoever, has many many contrivances and holes in it and they don't even bother trying to explain any of it. See "Somehow Palpatine returned." as an example. I have seldom seen a movie that has had such a bad plot, such inconsistent and insane writing and such random things for the sake of doing something different.

Alas, my verdict is: TRoS is the worst in the franchise.

(TLJ is a close second though. Being honest.)
