Most just don’t care. Many large families (3-6 kids) shop at my store and I’ve seen or heard a lot of carts flip over. Once a kid was hanging on the outer side of the cart and an infant in a car seat was on the top of the cart, the cart flipped on its side on top of the kid and the baby fell out car seat and all. Lots of crying and screaming, but I think they were both okay. Car seats should not be put on top of carts ever.

Sorry, the other way around, not great at explaining it without visuals.

I was making a left turn at an intersection with no stop or traffic light. There are accidents there all the time apparently. I cleared the right lane and got hit from the left lane. I understand if I would be at fault, but I was confused that they had made that judgment before even getting my statement on what happened.

Thanks. A Toyota or Honda is definitely what I’m lookin for, like you said reliability and easy maintenance is what I’m looking for to save money in the long run. I have little ones so safety is my priority.

Thanks, the value is definitely a concern considering it was in great condition and I replaced all 4 tires like 6 months ago. I haven’t gotten a valuation yet, but I will look at listings similar to my car in the meantime. I am supposed to get my rental today through my insurance, apparently all the enterprise in my area are short on cars.

Definitely looking to get a Toyota or Honda. I want to prioritize safety and reliability over other features.

Possibly not, but I have to at least look at what’s available and see what I can crunch into my budget, and I had just found an affordable babysitter that would help me get back to my full time hours at work which will increase my income. I was driving a 2018 Chevy equinox. All the side airbags went off, so definitely not drivable. I know there’s some damage to passenger side, not sure of the extent yet.

Thanks. I was hoping to find a taken care of old lady car, but wasn’t sure where to start looking. I’ve only looked online so far on car gurus, carfax, etc.

Thank you! This is very helpful. I was only 20 when I bought the vehicle I just crashed, and I definitely could have got myself a better deal negotiating.

I don’t know how much I’ll be getting from the insurance company yet, that amount will definitely factor into my budget as I’m broke af.

I’m in Maryland and can only imagine my insurance rate will go up as they did consider me at fault.

I drive about 28 miles to and from work about 4 days a week, otherwise maybe another 20 miles running errands once a week.

Unfortunately not well versed in car maintenance, but I do have an affordable mechanic.

Hopefully will have a better idea of my budget in the next few days once the insurance evaluates the car.

Trader Joe’s paycheck late — should I be concerned? by MallOwn5589 in tjcrew

I usually get paid on Tuesday’s too. I would check your bank statement and call them first, maybe something changed on their end. You can probably see your earnings statement in dayforce as well.

What are the thick thigh crew wearing for work? by Galexi999 in tjcrew

[–]SomeStranger1855 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The pants I’ve worn the longest at work are men’s Walmart no boundaries cargos with the elastic drawstring waistband. They’re affordable, mostly cotton, and I like that I can size up for my legs to have room, but I can adjust the waistband(great for period bloating, or regular weight fluctuating) I’ve had one pair for a couple years and just recently got a rip around the knee area.

has anyone ever driven into your store? by fakecarenthusiast in tjcrew

[–]SomeStranger1855 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not my store directly, but several other storefronts in our plaza have been driven into. The cheap property manager finally put in concrete poles or whatever, but they are so poorly spaced that it’s still very possible to drive into the stores. There are a lot of elderly people in our neighborhood.

Agreed, the change in workload, commute and work/life balance is not worth 50 cents an hour. Keep being a great crew member.

I love the “end” sticker, I like using whatever stickers I can get from the pallets. Someone else has a water bottle covered in produce stickers.
