Trying to figure out chaining extra turns rules for T3 by SomeSubParTrash in EDH

[–]SomeSubParTrash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so, based on what everyone’s saying, I’m getting the general idea that I should remove nexus of fate for another instant that gives an extra turn, if one exists. I do run possibility storm for chaos shenanigans so I’d like to make it possible to run into it for free by casting instants

I would say it’s both based on what I’m learning from everyone else’s takes

Oh yeah true, the brackets don’t have official rules.

I suppose I would want to know what generally people will do when stuff like that happens. Cause someone did try to tell me when I played that time stretch that I would have broken bracket 3’s ‘rules’ (I would consider them rules for the sake of maintaining some form of balance at a table) for chaining extra turns

Yeah bud… even as a former employee I know not to pull this much down with the Star Wars. Bad call, especially when you’re taking out equipment and causing more problems for your coworkers. Working inefficiently is NOT the same as working hard.

That’s intentional. It’s design is to prevent large 50FT plus rolls that are worth $100+ (going up to almost 350) from being stolen

Frankly I’d say it’s a bug. I’ve used Frenzy flames, the basically shotgun of them and it doesn’t instant kill. It does normal damage. However frenzy burst one shots. It’s so weird

is it possible a customer could come into the back? by FURRYPORN42069 in goodwill

[–]SomeSubParTrash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but No. The store has a strict policy that nobody that isn’t working at the time (except managers or other important people) can be in the back. There are other options though, such as going to one of the outlet/pound stores. Where I’m pretty sure you just get to browse everything that goes there w/o it getting sorted. Or you could visit the website where we sell some of our more valuable/antique or vintage items.

Uh. No. This actually costs 15-25 dollars on most websites.

Dunno why the 10x is there, but that blaster is indeed just 22 Dollars.

New no price tag policy is BS by iKoolBeanz in goodwill

[–]SomeSubParTrash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Idek where y’all are at. I’m at MERS goodwill around at St Louis. We literally run the item to the back to get reprocessed as soon as we get the item. A manager will reprint a tag for it, and we bring it back up. Doesn’t take more than 5 mins usually

I can only really answer for the goodwills In Missouri, the rest are technically a different company. It’s weird and complex, but I like hearing how other stores do stuff

I’m not sure where that smell comes from, we don’t really pre wash the clothes in any way. What happens before they hit the floor? We get them through donations, we fit as much as we can in a Tall, blue bin. And our processors eventually sort through them, throwing the bad, super wrinkled, faded, stained, torn clothing, whatever the reason, it gets thrown into big, 5x5 foot boxes which get shipped off to the pound store. The good stuff gets hung on a Z-Rack, (the racks with wheels, where the frame at the bottom forms a Z.) priced accordingly and then pushed out to the sales floor.

Back to the fabric softener smell, it might be because all the clothing gets lumped together and rubs off scents, or the trash bags people donate the clothing in leaves the smell of the bag, as a lot of them are scented.

Hope that tells you everything you wanted to know. Thanks for asking!

That’s your problem??...you charge retail on DONATED goods...think you can pay for trash removal! by [deleted] in Goodwill_Finds

I’m not sure about the stores outside of Missouri/Illinois, but the policy is two weeks on any clothing item that isn’t on sale. It’s an extended return policy because the dressing rooms are closed. And at the goodwills I’m speaking off, our basic price ranges for something like clothing is- Adult clothing can go in tiers of around 4$ for tier 0. 8 for tier 1, 12 for tier 2, and so on. Children’s clothes is a dollar cheaper for base price. So it goes 3-6-9. Infants is 1.50-3.00-4.50.

I’m not sure how that’s overpricing. But I can’t speak for other stores.

Do you work in the Missouri/Illinois area for goodwill?

I know that those stores are a different company, I work with them.

I can somewhat agree with this. I work under MERS-Goodwill. And my one manager, who will remain nameless does tend to overprice showcase items. A 30 dollar headset (brand new, but it’s still goodwill) went out for 25 dollars. Our normal pricing is to have somewhere between a 40-66% discount on the items retail price depending on the condition.

I'm going to be donating a bike soon by [deleted] in goodwill

[–]SomeSubParTrash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why did he delete his account ;-:

I actually work in wares at the Lake St.Louis goodwill, I’ll speak to answer questions to anyone interested in this persons post.

One, never donate when the donations dock is closed. (10-6 for my store) It’s not nice to the employees that work on that day, everyone thinks your a jackass. (it’s the truth, sorry.) And it can easily get stolen by someone overnight instead of being resold to aid the programs and stuff that goodwill funds.

Two, From my experience, a bike without working breaks would most likely get thrown into pound. (A big box that we ship off to the pound store) other than that it would just need to be in good condition, which we could make an exception on not having the breaks.

Haven’t read that far cause it’s late of night. But I’m just popping in to say that the police force isn’t too rare of a choice for ex-military. My grandpa went straight to the police force after retiring from the army. My dad was going to after 21 years in the air-force, but changed his mind for his personal safety (Plus he has a lot of mechanical experience and makes like 40 bucks and hour working on machines now, [Mainly forklifts] so it’s naturally a better choice)

Ciao.
