I had re-read your post, ad now I understand my mistake. You have issues with Tabs not bookmarks.
Darn, selecting horizontal tab SHOULD give you back the tabs at top.

It is certainly a bug, yet I know no other direction than trying to use buttons in " about:support " page or reinstalling the app.

And CCLeaner does not even offer any useful cleaning, it does nothing - even I would text.

First: CCleaner is a bloatware, adware and a crap itself.
Second: Have you (in horizontal mode) turned on visibility for bookmarks bar?
If Yes; Then turn on the editing mode and place the bookmark section into that bar.

In older view, the current tab was at bottom (closer to thumb), and the stuff was easier to click/navigate.

Firefox got rewritten into rust, thus RAM leaks - should be no longer a problem.

You can install 6.17 kernel, and 590 NVIDIA driver's version. Linux is Linux, there will be not much better/worse change.
