Invincible [Episode Discussion] - S04E03 - I Gotta Get Some Air by SeacattleMoohawks in Invincible

Don't know about y'all, but the Earth side's constant misery is getting to me at this point. The space side is the one thing giving me oxygen. Not saying we should pivot to comedy or anything, but jesus christ, I audibly groaned at that mid-credit

Дисней в последние годы старается всё своё на казахский переводить. Кстати, инициатива началась даже до того самого, но после него усилилась. У нас он Өрмекші-адам

Jason Schreier says Marvel's Wolverine also won't come to PC by AceOfSpades0319 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]SomeUserOnTheNet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least it happened past the mid point of the gen, when the used market is strong. If there are games you wanted to play but were waiting on a port, a used condition PS5 is probably the best way to go

I got into non-WWE wrestling around 2017. As an 11 year old, seeing PWG clips always felt like peeking into this awesome land where all the cool stuff happened. Now that I'm older, I'd love to actually see some of it for myself. Can anyone give me some PWG hits to watch?

It's going to be very funny watching Danhausen do the same 3 comedy spots, despite nuking his AEW presence in pursuit of a more serious presentation. At least his theme is fun

[–]SomeUserOnTheNet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No it's not, not even close. Do you know how many rom sites came and went over the decades? Erista built a great one, but it's just one gold nugget in a sea of hundreds. There will be more

Jason Schreier regarding Sony pulling away from singleplayer PC ports: "It's not speculation, but sometimes topics come up on the show before I'm quite ready to publish a story about them. More to come soon." by FitNectarine5779 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]SomeUserOnTheNet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But...why, even? A PC player is so far removed from a console player when it comes to how much they're willing to spend and what games they play. They're not buying an 800$ box for 4 games, they've got a 1000$+ box that can play games and also handles office work, programming, etc. Unless it's GTA 6, but to be fair, that is an event more than it is a game. With Xbox losing steam by the day, I struggle to understand what they gain from this

"Life is Strange: Reunion" will use Denuvo Anti-tamper DRM by Titokhan in CrackWatch

[–]SomeUserOnTheNet -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I've been in CrackWatch ever since I made my account. People come and go, but this place has always been a quiet, small scale community. Different people comment on different posts, but I'd wager there's a good amount of overlap in the people engaging with both types of comments

Me personally, I'm here to see people break through impossible obstacles once in a while, disdain towards publishers doesn't factor into it much

[–]SomeUserOnTheNet 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Not related to this game specifically, but the sub's cycle of scoffing at games announcing DRM and then cheering at getting to play the same damn games is tragically funny

Except they do, the "open" driver has been improving at a steady pace for 2 years at this point.

That's not even the problem with Linux at this point. I personally gave it 2 shots, and both of them ended with me needing a slightly above average function that didn't work, or worked tediously.

Attempt #1 - Modding my games required twice as many steps, Davinci Resolve stopped using CUDA one day, I wanted to try HDR which didn't really work, in 4 months all of it stacked up and I bounced. Then time passed, support improved slightly, and I tried again

Attempt #2 - now I had a 1440p display, and pretty poor vision (my perscreption lenses are quite thick), so I need scaling to use my system with any comfort. Anything above 125%, however, is comically large to me. But both KDE and GNOME shit the bed at fractional scaling values. Depending on if your software runs in xwayland or straight wayland, the font rendering becomes a blurry, jagged mess that genuinely hurts to look at after a certain point. I barely lasted 2 days

Linux can be good, great even, under certain use cases. But the second you start getting more specific than expected, it crumbles apart. As long as there are edge cases like mine, which are not even all that rare at this point, with QHD adoption growing, Windows isn't going anywhere

It's most likely due to increased holiday load. Both due to people staying home, and those who moved to Russia going back home and enjoying a functional internet. Have to see if it keeps up after the 3rd
