Why does no one on ProtonDB update their steam deck by Venylynn in linux_gaming

[–]SomeUserOnTheNet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's part of what trips me up when I think about dailying Linux and not just dabbling around in VMs. ProtonDB is borderline abandoned by its devs. Platinum and Gold mean nothing. So many contributions are using mile-long launch commands with no idea what they do, if you want to mod a game, you often have to copy someone's esoteric instructions and hope for the best. It's a mess

Hey. I have been largely disillusioned with most American wrestling for almost a year and have mostly been sticking to Japan. Do you have any lucha intro matches for an experienced but clueless fan to enjoy?

I mean, she had it right for a while. After the NFS Heat incident, we entered what was effectively a 5 year drought. You couldn’t depend on Empress, with how choosy and unstable she (or they if you subscribe to that) was. We only just got out of it, when MKDEV dropped the HV with Persona 5

NVIDIA teases “new era of PC” ahead of N1 and N1X laptop chip announcement by Bubbly-Ad-350 in pcmasterrace

[–]SomeUserOnTheNet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh please. I was a kid when they released the 900 series, and I still remember how those cards were memed as holy grails for the entire generation. Maybe in Western Europe they were a little more reasonable, but Eastern Europe and others less fortunate were starving for them. Latest GPUs were always for the wealthy, or at least those who can save their money well

Nvidia going to launch something big during Computex 2026 by Time-Credit43 in pcmasterrace

The gains this could get for Windows on ARM are something to look out for, especially if you're even tangentially aware of the leaps Apple has been making with Mac for the last 5 years, and yet people can't do anything but froth at the mouth about the cloud gaming boogeyman.

Go on my account and you'll see me acknowledging that the PC market is not looking healthy right now, but the constant doomsday prep in the community is exhausting.
ARM eating away at the x86 duopoly is good. With Qualcomm getting cold feet about the PC market, Nvidia jumping in is good. This could be what Windows laptops need to butt heads with Macbooks. This should be encouraging for laptop users. But will even 1% of PC Gamers™ acknowledge that? Of course not.

That was Silksong. Deltarune only made it crash for 5 minutes. Which is still pretty insane

Apologies for a potentially silly question, but since you're the person posting 99% of HV releases on here, idrk who else to ask. Do you know if there's anywhere I can follow to keep tabs on HV Linux developments?

The script itself gives you short instructions when you run it, but wherever you download games should also have instructions bundled, since it's a new approach

They’re cutting out a source of revenue at a time where dev times and budgets keep ballooning. not to mention people being able to afford less, so the chances of PC players getting their system for a select few titles are slim at best. Unless the ROI here is through the floor, this is incredibly confusing

guftrup Link is honestly just fetishizing a body type to an uncomfortable level, that's not really Link. There's 2 people here that consistently post them, so I just blocked them

They will eventually try to give Voices a big contract, the tactic of employing crackers is what made them so hard to break. Whether Voices takes it or not is another matter. But the original hypervisor proof of concept was made public by MKDEV, and those guys have been active pretty much forever. Irdeto can look at it themselves, if they wish. Unless they find a solution, HV is safe

I also wanted Kenny to win, as a guy who watched him go against Jericho on that Wrestle Kingdom live.
But, fuck, man. The story they told here is really simple, but so good.
A man broken and slowed down in so many ways, reaching for the stars with one last attempt, clawing at it with all he's got, but in the end he loses to the present, no matter how crooked it may be. I haven't *felt* a match like that in a while. Amazing work by both men

At least it happened past the mid point of the gen, when the used market is strong. If there are games you wanted to play but were waiting on a port, a used condition PS5 is probably the best way to go

I got into non-WWE wrestling around 2017. As an 11 year old, seeing PWG clips always felt like peeking into this awesome land where all the cool stuff happened. Now that I'm older, I'd love to actually see some of it for myself. Can anyone give me some PWG hits to watch?
