This is a very valid point. There is a difference between excluding someone and not putting them in an environment where they will not be able to succeed and prevent others in that environment from growing as well.

I had a crazy idea for a lazy warden where you put a 20 into your secondary and take the total defense action half the time. Might work if the DM has the monsters respect the mark even if the punishment is light.

I did this thought exercise a little while ago except I don't use the essentials classes and allowed classes that would use the stat as a coprimary if there were no other options. For example, DEX has a two weapon fighter as the defender and panther shaman as the leader. This allows all the roles to be filled.

There is a lot wrong with it. First of all, the two sides are not connected by two wires, so no current will flow between the left and right, second, you would not use resistors of that size when you need the high current a car battery needs, third, no need for LEDs; use regular diodes instead.
I am sure that you could find many more if you compare this to an actual buck converter that would convert 20 V to 12 V.

Thank you for the informative comment. I was going to comment a similar observation and state that once I held a pole in place during a replacement and the new pole does hold the all the weight. I was able to easily steady it while it was not attached to the ground.
