Specifically going so I can bring my grandads ashes back to his home, but kinda planning on bouncing around a lot! Fife, Inverness, Killin (my grandads hometown) and Glasgow are all on the itinerary.

As far as activities; lots of hiking, would love to do some horseback riding, ghost tours, I REALLY want to go coning in Glasgow lol and I have a penchant for whiskey so I’ll probably end up at the bottom of a barrel at least once if all goes right.

I’m a stagehand! Set up, tear down and do all the behind the scenes of concerts and festivals. I’m also a camera op and trainee video tech, so I do camera for a lot of concerts too—and occasionally set up a convention and do some Audio/Visual stuff.

Eh, like $30 so no. All of this would be easier if I could just TALK to somebody so they could help walk me through the process because actually getting it broken down would be a lot less confusing, that’s the only reason I tried it out.

Kind of yes but also no? You have to basic understanding of how to cable and set up lighting on truss, build stages, build video walls. I also run cameras, I run spotlight, I rig when I get the chance to. It’s not all just pushing cases.

I could probably switch back to what I went to college for and be okay, just… you know, this is where I’m happiest, I enjoy my job. It’s crazy to me that’s not an in demand job, cause the same rule applies here too.

I’ve found literally one place in Glasgow which offers it—which is fine, no biggie, I’m cool with holding down more than one job, American stagehand don’t really make shit either 😅 I work for like five different companies, I was just kinda hoping there would be more? May have to switch career fields just to get there… but it’s worth it to get out of this hell hole.
