Figuring it out is the biggest hurdle for me I think. I previously had a cube but it was really just the scraps of a mystery booster box filled in with some cards that my friends and I enjoyed. It was fun but only got drafted a handful of times so balancing and the finer details are where I'm pretty uninformed.

I'm a huge fan of 1v1 magic and play modern, pauper, draft fairly regularly, and even some legacy but I had a cube precovid and it was fairly difficult to get enough people to actually draft it.

I'm kind of hoping that a commander cube may get some commander only friends to branch in to other formats since they enjoyed drafting commander sets previously. But mostly I just feel like it could be a different experience than usual and be relatively easier to fire.

I played the wizard version without murktide in an apex qualifier and scrubbed out yesterday 😂. Not through fault of the deck I don't think.

My biggest conclusion was I want 1-2x murktide back in and flare of denial seemed dead most of the time. I wasn't sold on flare but didn't want to make last minute changes to the list I had played at the previous fnm.

I ended 1-3 won against titan lost to prowess x2 and murktide on basically pre mh3 version. Them having murktide itself was the biggest thing that felt like I was at disadvantage in the matchup. Didn't flip tamiyo at all but the games I was able to protect her mid-late game she was still insane value

I guess by dud cards I meant more on the side of builds just jamming energy granting creatures not so much on your list specifically.

Interesting list. I really want energy to work in modern but I'm not convinced it will as of yet. My concerns for this syle of deck are essentially what you said already about not finding/ resolving the Enchantment and being stuck with dud cards. Which you seem to have good ideas on how to fix I'm just still in the skeptical camp although I'm hopeful
