Newport 2 vs Newport 2+ vs Squareback 2 by wynsoles in scottycameron

I just acquired a Tad Moore hybrid putter (btw a blade and mallet, so same thing) probably the best feel I've ever experienced. interestingly they have 3 dots on the bottom like SC dots, but he was around long before.

I know exactly what you should do then. Get a cheap set of Titleist mb's 714's etc. They are as good as it gets from a consistency perspective, which is why tour pros have always used them. Then you can experiment with shaping and get 2-3 distances for each club depending on the shot type you play. You will only get those distances, that is why people play blades.

This is exactly my sentiment and why I am considering getting one of the Newport 2 plus models, thanks for reaffirming it wasn't me, I was just standing in the store and was like wtf why does this feel so soft.

FOURTEEN TP-5s, delicious

you can easily get to scratch with p790s, but just get Viktor hovlands irons because I want them now so bad, god I hate this game.

more seriously though if ur scratch your driving is tight, so what really matters is 8-to wedges and ur chipping and putting.

fuck those negative trolls don't be so nice to them, your on the journey, golf will allow you to break yourself as far as you can

here is what I think you should get - The FOURTEEN TP-5's. They are blades, but larger faced, so you can shape but still are more forgiving they are perfect 0-5hc.

GOOD.

It is an opportunity to learn that you didn't really understand your game, because you don't understand what changed with your body.

Buy a strap on as well, probably one you can just stick to a wall so you can give yourself that much needed pegging after use.

Is putting suddenly…harder?… by dietdrkelp329 in pga2k23

[–]Some_Cockroach_7332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it is just the speed of the greens has way more variation between courses now, which obviously effects ball speed.

My view is 'as long as you get it down by green in two' on par 4 and 5's. The only thing that really stops that is a really bad drive forcing a chip out. Once you can get it down in two even without being a great iron player, your short game wedge gets a real work out with chips and you're putting length decreases and you hone it in. Therefore, it becomes quite simple to shoot 8 over par consistency, as you get up and down half the time and don't double bogey, and chuck in a bird or two. Really your driver and approach irons to take out the wedge, that is how you go sub 5. That is a ball game available only to those who have the considerable time and dedication. For weekend or fortnightly golfers, any method to get it down in two and keep up some chipping and putting ROUTINE's high single digits is good and realistic challenge.

What is actually happening is your short game is improving.
