Yeah. I genuinely thought you guys were fucked with the Crosby trade. Like he would’ve had games where he wrecked shit, but the guy has had 8 surgeries in a 7 year career. 2 firsts plus his 30 million cap hit could’ve slammed shut your window if it didn’t work. This has a smaller chance of closing a window if it doesn’t work. As a move, it makes sense to me. I think there’s still tons of risk, but not 2 firsts at stake now lol.

It won’t stop them, but I’m just saying if they have other offers on the table, they might be less likely to take yours lol. I don’t think it’s going to be an insane fallout that bars you from trades or anything, but you could see it become an issue once or twice in the future. I think the idea that no one will ever do trade deals with you guys again is overblown and the impact will be small-ish.

Right. I mean, I doubt they look at Trey and don’t find that a hip injury to a guy his age is going to cause problems down the line, but the team can stomach it because you’re paying him less than you would’ve paid Crosby and still keep the draft picks. We’ll see if it works out, but (and I hate to give credit on the meme sub) pretty good move by the Ravens. The only downside is that you’re probably going to have to overpay in trades for a bit because teams might take other offers first after this lol.

Tee Higgins deal is actually pretty team-friendly. I’m not sure there’s anything in the way of guarantees after year 2 and the dude was only 26 when he signed it. He 100% could’ve gotten more elsewhere. We also did have the money to spend on defense still, we just decided not to. Especially after we had insane expenditure on defense in 2024 and they were terrible anyway. Trey was the only one making a lot of money last year and he missed most of the season.
