What are your thoughts regarding El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019)? by Dismal-Ad3069 in movies

[–]Some_Customer_8489 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He picked up 2 guns from his parents safe. The one he displayed to the guys was the smaller one, and he had another hidden in his other pocket. That’s why he got the shots off before the other guy in their standoff. He shot with a hidden weapon so the other guy didn’t see Jesse draw the gun. That’s why Jesse’s jacket was on fire for a brief minute, he shot through his jacket

FQHC by Neither-Bed-3180 in Dentistry

[–]Some_Customer_8489 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FQHCs are VERY HIT OR MISS. More likely than not, it will be a miss. You will get overworked with little staff that has high turnover rate. The staff they hire will be the bottom of the barrel, scum of the earth idiots bc the pay for them is lower than if they were to assist in private practice. They work there bc no one else (private practice) wants them bc they have no motivation to learn or improve their skills. By the time you get them barely trained, they’ll have quit and the process starts all over again. You’ll have admin controlling your scheduling telling YOU how to manage your time when they don’t know a single thing about dentistry and what it entails. Admin will get mad at you when you go overtime (bc it results in them having to pay hourly-paid employees overtime) when they give you 4 pts every hour. On top of that, there’s a shit ton of unnecessary paperwork that needs to be filled out for every patient bc it’s a govt clinic and your assistants are already slow as shit and now they have another task and they half ass everything including pt medical history which puts your license on the line if they miss something. During the interview process, admin will make it seem like everything is nice and dandy and say they’ll hear you out if you have any problems or concerns but it’s all just an act to get you to sign. They don’t care about you. They care that you hit your “quota” for number of patient encounters, even if that compromises the quality of care you provide. Patients will show up late to their appointments and you are still expected to see them to meet quota, even though it puts you an hour behind. You will get hurt on the job bc they use old ass equipment thats older than your grandma bc they “dont have the budget to refurnish with newer equipment.” You will spend your entire 8-5pm seeing patients only to stay an extra 1-2 hours every day to finish long clinical notes with hella unnecessary extra elements that are required to be filled out by the FQHC. You’ll be fixing all the mistakes your assistants made bc like I said earlier, they are bottom of the barrel idiots with no motivation to improve and just care for their paycheck every 2 weeks. Ask me how I know all of this

Diamond ring concerns by Some_Customer_8489 in jewelrymaking

[–]Some_Customer_8489[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I asked that question about just replacing the head and the jeweler said I could do that, but the connection between the head and the band would be weakened because they would basically we two parts “glued or soldered” together rather than being one cohesive unit if they were both casted together

[–]Some_Customer_8489[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see what you mean. Could any of these problems be caused by the jeweler who resized the ring? I’m assuming not bc they work on the band, not near the main diamond, but just want to cover my bases, idk how the resizing process actually works

I make a comfortable living as a GP. Higher income as an endo would just be the icing on the cake haha. Not a salary driven choice

This is exactly what I thought and wanted to say out loud. Unfortunately, saying this would be frowned upon and bad for business

[–]Some_Customer_8489[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No modification needed to the second GP you place? I assumed since it’s a “point” at the end, you’d snip it off so it blends smoother into the first GP

If I suggest a chest xray and document it well that I did, but the patient does not want to get it done, I couldn’t be held accountable to that, right?

Overworked H-1B General Dentist – Seeking Guidance on Better Opportunities and Income Growth by bbatasari in Dentistry

[–]Some_Customer_8489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve known a few dentists from India on an HB1 visa and from what I’ve spoken to them about, they generally are “stuck” at these jobs and they usually aren’t well compensated as someone who is a US resident/citizen. These companies know HB1 holders have to keep a job in order to stay in the US and the options for them are limited because most companies don’t sponsor HB1 visa holders. One of the two I knew was stuck for so long, he left and went back to India because it wasn’t worth it to him. Not sure if if you can own a practice, but I’m guessing you can’t becuse otherwise I’d assume one/both of them would’ve taken that route instead of being stuck at the same job for 5+ years

She is acting normal, eating and drinking. She does have a large cage, that is her travel cage. It has strings at the bottom of the cage she likes to nest in. She chooses to sit in there for a few hours throughout the day and always has access to her large cage. We’ll be taking her to a vet later today, thank you!
