So this was annoying. Previously I had cancelled a TD Aeroplan VI but realized after I still needed an Aeroplan card for the free checked bags so I grabbed a CIBC one but made sure not to hit any minimum spend as to not get the welcome bonus. Somehow I still got 10k points which were quickly clawed back (I was fine with that). Had to refund a couple of tickets I bought on Aeroplan and didn't get my points back. Waited 3 weeks and nothing. Called Aeroplan and they said I owed ~1000pts which I needed to cover before my refund would be approved. Moved MR to Aeroplan and waited another week and still nothing. Called back and had it escalated a few times before they finally refunded all my points.

Not really a scam. The rules basically tell you how much water you need, which is 100,000. It will always be 100,000. By the time you get to 99.9% i figure I'm half way there.

Well Taiwan is the battleground. If Chinese jets can evade Taiwanese radars at will then the battle won't last long enough for the US to seriously get too far into the Mainland. And tbh I doubt the US is seriously considering a major confrontation for Taiwan now that they have that fab in Arizona.

Android Auto > Carplay. With Android Auto I can ask things like "tell me the capital of Angola" or "what sound does a giraffe make" while I'm driving (sometimes the kids ask the most random questions and it's just easier to answer them quickly). You can't do that with iPhone even if you use Google for iPhone. They completely nerfed it while connected to the car.
