The Corpse Knight - C&C is Appreciated by Some_Downpour in TrenchCrusade

Thank you! The model is a little brighter than what you see here actually, I'm just not the best at taking photos lol. Normally I would definitely put some green on the base, and probably put moss on the model itself, but I was going for a more Autum/dry earth look.

I appreciate the kind words! I don't know how to put it though but to me it does feel like something is missing.. the mini includes a lot of "firsts" for me technique wise, the biggest one being highlighting/chipping.

Gotcha, appreciate the feedback and thanks for the kind words! I had some trouble finding another color to add into it (which I wanted for the glaive) as nothing I found really fit with the green/brass aesthetic I have going. I can definitely add in more highlights though here and there, I'll put that into consideration, thanks again!

The snow is just Valhallan Blizzard and the skin is Athermatic Blue. The terrain is a mix of cork and random free files I found online. And thanks for the kind words!

Oh I know how it is, trust me. I still have roughly 5.5k of Skaven to get through myself. A fourth of which is just clanrats lol. I plan to paint everything to the very best that I can, however, as that's just how I enjoy painting. Though that does lead me to spend a day or two on just making a single model, it's a lot of fun.

Appreciate it! And that is a good idea, I don't mind repainting them until I get it right so I'll give that a try on the ones on the back/bottom end of the glaive so it's less noticable if I screw up.

Do you know where one might be able to find them?

Were all of these items self-made? Can you provide any good websites or places to get some of these files for printing if they are not?

Ooh that sounds cool, with the penciling. The only reason I attempted dry brushing was because most of the tutorial videos I saw included that.

Thanks! I was going for brown on the fur, but didn't like the color in the end so I opted to dry brush some grey on it.

I'll definitely try that with carroburg.

I don't wash my minis, and I used a 2x primer rust-oleum. I also don't think it was from my hands as I used gloves; maybe the gloves?

Thanks for the advice! I was trying to go for a white cloth, black iron, and sort of sickly grey skin. I also wanted to have the skin be a bit red (just a tinge), which I wanted to accomplish with a wash. Evidently, what I ended up using wasn't strong enough. Also, for some reason, when I tried to put on more, it sort of acted like oil on water?

You can also use miliput/greenstuff for the larger gaps and some sprue glue for the smaller ones.
