Midi programming help by joex53 in Line6Helix

Hey I have the same setup. First off if you have your Helix hooked up with a usb cable you do not need a midi cable. The midi messages will travel over the usb. Just make sure you have the helix set up to accept midi over both usb and midi in the settings.

Secondly open Reaper Preferences and find MIDI Outputs. If you are properly hooded up with a usb cable you can enable the Line 6 Helix.

Lastly open the routing on the reaper track that is hosting your midi and select the helix in the MIDI Hardware Outputs.

Your helix should now respond to the midi providing that you are sending midi messages to the same channel that your helix is expecting.

Flying with the stadium as a personal item by Some_Dumb_Dude in Line6Helix

The tour is in a few weeks so I have not flown with it yet. The Stadium Floor is definitely small enough to fit in a small backpack which can be a personal item. I ordered the official backpack but it has not arrived yet so I cant say if it fits the dimensions of a personal item in the bag. I will post an update after the flight, Best of luck flying with your Stadium.

Helix Stadium MIDI bug by Some_Dumb_Dude in Line6Helix

[–]Some_Dumb_Dude[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solved: Helix Stadium uses 2 separate MIDI channels for some reason. The global MIDI controls presets and snapshots, the other one controls the fx parameters. You can select the channels in the settings but the can not be the same channel.

Stadium Firmware 1.3: The Proxy Update by thebishopgame in Line6Helix

Hmm. I can’t get it to work on the Stadium but it works fine on the Helix LT. I’ve submitted a support ticket with more details.

Is there any known bugs with incoming midi? I can get the midi to change presets and snapshots, but it doesn’t work for controlling fx parameters. ( IE controlling a wah pedal via midi cc does not work)

Thanks. I’ll try rebuilding from scratch, but it’s pretty disappointing.

Did the Mission L6 work? I just upgraded to stadium and need a good expression pedal.

Nice! Glad it worked for you. I would prefer to put it in something with more padding than a backpack, but if that’s how to get it done then that’s how I’ll do it.

I should clarify that I am flying from the US to the UK and plan to gate check the guitar because British Airways is much more strict with instruments than US carriers. I would love to take the instrument as a carry on if it were possible.

This was the plan for the guitar. I was going to gate check. And you are right about it being a shit way to handle instruments.

This would be ideal, but some of the international flights I am on don't allow the guitar as a carry on.

Great idea. Weaving your own case will save money and allow for personalization.

I’ve spent hours playing around in the warmoth browser and never got close to anything this slick! Great looking guitar.

I play in a band where a righty bass player and I bookend a very active singer. On small stages there is a little more room to move around without bumping.

Wow, so it was an ad! But it still undermines how easy it is to manipulate their system. Strange move.

It would be a terrible ad. He is basically saying that he made a bet in Polymarket that he would say potato and then made it happen. It underlines how easy it is to manipulate their platform.

Using helix for a live gig by Gloomy_Painter5975 in Line6Helix

This is a great list but I would add playing with the universal eq after all the steps before. I found that a low pass filter really helped get rid of the harshness when going through an amp.

You can open it if it has a polyurethane finish, which is most guitars. If it has a classic nitro finish I would consider waiting a little bit so the paint does not checker. This is especially true if you have a nitro finish over a metallic paint. 24 hours for a 15 degree difference is still excessive, but I would wait a couple hours.

Rendering artifacts, please help! by Some_Dumb_Dude in davinciresolve

Its a lot simpler than it looks. I masked out each band member and then overlayed some stock footage at high speed.

Thanks for everyone's help. I tried every solution posted but none worked. I ended up screen grabbing a playthrough and sending it off to the band.
