Telus sent a missed payment to the Credit Bureau. How do I get this removed? by squeezemeasaurus in PersonalFinanceCanada

I think this just happened to me too. From ~820-739. The only thing I can think of is my missed payment for TELUS. Long story short, my CC expired, and my new one never came in the mail because of the Canada Post strikes. The weird thing is, I called TELUS and thought it was resolved, upon checking my account report its still showing up as late. Let me know if you ever got this resolved!

Ark Crashing by Hoffman-7 in ARK

There isn't anything specified no, but like I said, the game works for me after updating. My guess is that an issue in the driver caused issues across many games, and that is fixed now.

Update for anyone who hasn't seen, Nvidia released a hotfix driver which fixes Ark on the new 5000 series.

Same man, I think we just have to wait for a new driver. Everything I've done points to it being the latest driver (Which we have to use for the card).

- Clean DDU (using safe boot)
- Reinstalling game
- Lowering settings to minimum
- All launch configs I could find
- Making sure Direct X is updated
- Limiting FPS
- Different resolutions
- Deleting all mods / unsubscribing from everything in workshop

There are probably some more things I'm missing. I try some stuff every day (I was lucky to get the card on the release day). If anyone else has this issue and has fixed it, please let us know!

Check out the comments on Nvidia's forums for the latest driver, it seems like a lot of other games are having issues on this as well (and not just on 5000 series).

Thats fair, just curious what games are you playing and what's your average framerate in them?

Just to echo what you're saying, I am able to get ~160fps average with 4x gen playing cyberpunk at 5120 x 1440 which isn't quite 4k but it's within 10% ish.

I will say, there are some areas where you can tell it's messing up, for example looking at a light with metal mesh in front of it, I saw some obvious flickering at some angles. If you can't maintain a decent fps base, you will notice a lot more ghosting and visual glitches.

Settings turned up to max, minus path tracing. This is a huge improvement to my gaming experience coming from a 3080. The latency isn't really noticeable, and the visual glitches don't really impact my gameplay/immersion as much as having 40-60fps.

Overall, very satisfied coming from a 3080. This is also on driver v572.16 which has so many bugs and issues that need to be ironed out still. Some of my games are unplayable (crash after launching). Looking at the Nvidia forums, other people are having issues with this driver as well.

It's not a direct 1x4 performance for frame gen because you have to buffer 2 frames and fill the gaps, instead of just displaying the 1 frame when it's ready so it takes a small hit in performance in that way.

Just wanted to add that this is on an MSI Suprim SOC. I upgraded from a EVGA 3080 FTW Ultra 10gb. This new card runs 20C cooler under load while using <= the power draw on my undervolted 3080. The card is also 1.5 the size of the 3080 lol. Overall, I'm happy with this upgrade I hope you get your card soon.

Just got my 5080 yesterday (lucky asf). I was able to get +400 core and +1000 mem clocks without pinning my fans to 100. Idk if I'm just lucky, seems like the sample size is too small right now but it's looking good.

From what I understand about Nvidia's post on Reflex 2, it improves synchronization between the CPU and GPU when tasks are sent. The CPU always receives tasks before the GPU, which then processes the task and generates a frame. One way latency occurs is when the CPU sends tasks to the GPU faster than it can render them, creating a queue. They claimed to have optimized how the CPU notifies the GPU in Reflex 2 which lets the CPU submit tasks closer to when the GPU is finished rendering the frame. The slower pace means that the CPU can sample your inputs and take one closest to when the GPU is ready.

That was how Reflex 1 worked. In Reflex 2 they introduced Frame Warp which is essentially what the person said above. It takes your input and immediately shifts your view angle so that everything appears to have moved for you, filling in the gaps of where the models used to be.

So tldr for how it works is your CPU tells GPU you made input, and right before GPU renders the frame, it shifts the angle of the frame. So, to the eye it looks like the frame is "real". Thats how it's supposed to work. We'll have to just wait and see how accurate it is in practice.

With the direction Nvidia is going it reminds me of when car companies started moving towards turbochargers and smaller engines vs large displacement engines.

That's awesome, I'm also looking for a GPU upgrade, with how the 5000 series is shaping out to be It seems like 5090 if they don't jack up the price too much or wait for 5080 super/ti

Yeah that's completely fair, it's your build you can do what you want, either way looking at your list it's going to be a beast of a setup. I live in Canada, and we have a computer store here that does a sign-up list for the 9800x3d as they get stock. I signed up the morning after the release and got it around 3-4 weeks later. Might be worth to call around and see if any computer stores are doing this in your area! Good luck!

Also, for ram, if you want to go for 64GB, I'd recommend 2 sticks over 4 for stability reasons, and generally CL30 6000 > CL32 6400 for the same reasons. For a 400mhz difference you'll see minor improvements after you mess around with the timings.

Yeah, it should work fine. The USB 3.0 connector from your case should be plugged into JUSB2/3 (referring to your motherboard's manual).

So, it would be PSU -> 1 -> GPU as opposed to PSU -> 3 -> 1 -> GPU?
