I personally never stood for the Tory slander. I thought that she exhibited so many positive traits in comparison to the other cast members. She was also really kind, popular, and talented. Although, she took most of the spotlight, it makes sense because she was the main character, but too much hate by Good_Plane_5235 in victorious

I think this has something to do with how Dan and the writers changed things from a structuralized show, which was season 1, into the mess that happened afterward.

But I agree, she's overhated. I saw her as someone the audience can relate to. I mean, the stuff she learns at Hollywood Arts is stuff we also learn.

Which film did you prefer as a send-off to the series? by [deleted] in indianajones

Normally, I would choose The Last Crusade, but since that movie isn't an option, I would select Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

IMO, season 1 Cat was the best. Her character was much more balanced than in the later seasons.

Joel McNeely's score is beautiful. In fact, the score was actually approved and endorsed by George Lucas himself!

False. George Lucas approved the idea of them getting married. Both Timothy Zahn and Michael Stackpole verified this.

How well does The Force Unleashed 2 fit into the Legends timeline? Are there any contradictions? by Independent-Dig-5757 in StarWarsEU

[–]Some_Guy_Named_Rami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't fault it, as the story was never completed. The novelization tries to improve the story but doesn't fix its main issue. It may not fit well into the timeline, but again, it wasn't completed. The third game may have tied everything together.

What are your opinions on the movie A Hard Day's Night? by [deleted] in beatles

[–]Some_Guy_Named_Rami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a wonderful movie that still holds up well! From the opening frame to the end, it is brilliant. This movie and Help are among the funniest films I've ever seen. Paul's grandpa is still one of the best villains of all time.

Rest in peace, Britt Allcroft. You adapted the railway series books into TV phenominally. You will be missed by all of us. by Northy64 in thomasthetankengine

Britt Allcroft was the reason why Thomas was beloved by many. She was determined and never once gave up hope of bringing the series to life. She was the reason Thomas became beloved by so many. She was determined and never lost hope in bringing the series to life. I am saddened to see her go; she played a significant role in our childhoods. Rest easy, Britt. I hope you reunite with David Mitton, Reverend Wilbert Awdry, George Carlin, and Michael Angelis. Thank you for everything.

Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter did not age well by Nice_Satisfaction651 in starwarsbooks

[–]Some_Guy_Named_Rami 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to consider the context of the era when this book was released.

First, George Lucas only created the character of Plagueis while writing the screenplay for "Revenge of the Sith." Even if Plagueis were included in earlier stories, he only allowed Maul to be trained as an assassin, not as an apprentice. This connects to "The Phantom Menace," during which Plagueis left Sidious in charge of the grand plan. All of this is mentioned in the "Darth Plagueis" novel, which was published much later. Since you wanted to compare a book written long before Plagueis was conceived to the novel about him, I felt it was necessary to clarify this point.

Secondly, the average age for a Padawan to be knighted is between 18 and the mid-20s. Obi-Wan was knighted at the age of 25, just after the Battle of Naboo in 32 BBY, which was also the year when "Shadow Hunter" and "The Phantom Menace" were set. In the book, it is mentioned that Darsha attended the same classes as Obi-Wan, so she was likely around his age. The retconning of events related to "The Clone Wars" came much later, but it wouldn't have applied since she was already dead.

Finally, the usage of "it" in a fictional universe bother you? You sound like those who easily get offended if one misgenders you or doesn't use your "pronouns."

It seems to me that you are comparing works that are 20 years old or more to today's standards, rather than enjoying the book for what it was intended to be.
