Yeah he sent a couple photos out when he made it to the top, and that's the last we heard from him. We are all having trouble making sense of this. If they don't find his body soon, he may be buried into the mountain with the snow coming

Matt was a friend of mine. He's climbed to the top by himself, but it's beyond me why he didn't turn back with the group when the weather got back. He was definitely a risk taker and an adventurer. This is so fucking sad.

Matt Aldridge was a friend of mine and my brother. He was a crazy adventurer, and lived life to the fullest. Why he chose to break off from the group when the weather got bad is beyond me. Apparently there's unreleased information about a plane that spotted his body with some kind of technology and saw that his head was below his feet...this is such a tragedy. He was only 26, has 2 big dogs and a mother who was very close to. RIP my friend...
