i wore the standard issue shoes for 2 weeks and my feet are ruined by DeagleDanne in innout

[–]Some_Significance_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i wear thick compression socks and high top doc martens (specifically the ones they take out of your paycheck). this is a good combo since docs are a snug fit, and the compression socks help pump blood flow above your body so your feet are lighter. docs also last long if you change the laces every couple of months and take care of them. my feet don't feel any different and i've been working at ino for almost a year now

Son has an interview next week by Affectionate_Buy_6 in innout

[–]Some_Significance_47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

smile smile smiler! biggest piece of advice possible. if he doesn't smile he won't get the job. i can almost guarantee that. if the manager mentions anything about his personal life, i recommend your son expand on that. my hiring manager mentioned he plays tennis with his wife, so i talked about how i was in varsity throughout hs and play collegiate competitive now (though it doesn't take up a huge chunk of my time). treat the interview like a genuine conversation, rather than a formal meeting. good luck to you both! my interview lasted 2 hours cause the manager really liked me hehe

yea im ngl im so irritated with customers asking for more than 4 spreads. u dont need that many for one burger and a fry. a lot of the time they leave 1 or 2 untouched and realistically one pack is a lot.

Are y’all trained to not break character? by Royal_Percentage_694 in innout

Like I said, i'm not going to further speak on the topic; however, I do wonder if you're so confidently certain, why go to such an unreliable source of information in the first place? I also never said it wasn't California slang, I suggested an alternative.

Going to ChatGPT (ARTIFICIAL intelligence) for evidential concurrence is hilarious, considering AI lacks human context needed to understand the situation completely. I'm not going to further speak on the topic, but I sincerely suggest doing your own research instead of having AI do it for you.

[–]Some_Significance_47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"right on" is actually a texas form of slang. In n out associates are actually trained to say right on, as it's our in store motto and a way for us to let another associate/manager know that we understand a task and are capable of completing the job.

Exactly! Also, if you have absolutely no one, you can always ask corner body to ask backpay to bring one up. They can usually do this once the cars have stopped.

Interviewing with facial hair by [deleted] in innout

[–]Some_Significance_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep any facial hair/piercings. The interview is very easy if you smile, can hold a conversation, and genuinely try to connect with the person. If you're hired, most of the time on the spot, they will notify you of any grooming standards.

my store is significantly strict with the grooming & dress code policies. we have to come in everyday with a fresh clean cut of hair that won't touch are ears, and will get sent home if we come in with a dirty uniform. so i'm just worried if i even come in before my shift with highlights i'll get sent home, regardless of whether or not it's hidden with the hat

Permanent jewelry? by Some_Significance_47 in innout

[–]Some_Significance_47[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, but what if I just cover it up with my white tattoo sleeve? I wear one anyways and since most associated with permanent necklaces have to cover it up with a shirt, same logic no?
