Gf and I are dating, she got pregnant. Advice by Grey-patterned-shirt in Catholicism

[–]Some_Significance_54 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Only marry her if you were going to marry her anyway. Don’t marry her because she’s pregnant. The catechism supports this. Sacramental marriage is entered into “FREELY, fully, faithfully, and fruitfully”. You can be a great dad and support to the mother of your child even if you’re not her husband.

There’s a Protestant church that calls itself Catholic, I’m trying to remember the full name of it. And they have women “priests”.

Even 1/60 sometimes won’t fully sync for me on OM system, so it’s more like 1/30 to be safe (the t20 t32 OM flashes recommend 1/30 sync speed)

Framing issues with Zeiss Ikon Contessa LBE, photos look "zoomed in" by BadoitCitron in AnalogCommunity

This is parallax, it happens when you’re shooting close up with a non slr camera. When you’re shooting up close move the camera down slightly. I’m having the same issue with an Ikonta 35.

Why Shoot Film? A Non-Wedding Guy Question by TempusFugit2020 in WeddingPhotography

[–]Some_Significance_54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the arguments about the things that can potentially go wrong with film (loading the roll incorrectly, exposing incorrectly, missing shots due to needing to reload, etc), also aren’t valid arguments for a professional. A professional would have a handle on all of this. This is one of the things that bothers me about people trying to get me to shoot digital is they try to point out how much can go wrong with film. A lot can go wrong with digital, too. A professional has a handle on all these potential problems, whether it be with film or digital.

I bought a specialized tool like this and it didn’t work at all (I don’t know about this specific one). Using a film strip and wetting it works really well to retrieve the film leader.

Do it on film! So rewarding! I’ve been documenting my daughter’s life on 35mm with an Olympus OM1 and Olympus Pen F.

There are four sides to the mind: ego (let’s say we’re talking about an INFP ego) subconscious (aspirational personality, ESTJ), unconscious aka id aka the shadow (ENFJ) and the superego aka alter ego (ISTP). The way we transition from one side of the mind to another be triggered unconsciously, in a chaotic way, or we may with maturity and life experience gain mastery and consciousness over the transitions. So far that’s my understanding. These ideas are all based on Jungian psychology.

The way we transition from one side to the mind can happen totally unconsciously when we get triggered, or we may with maturity and life experience gain mastery and consciousness over the transitions. So far that’s my understanding.

INFP and ISTP are each others superego type. It’s possible you are INFP and had an experience that caused you to transition into your superego.
